G2 Axle & Gear 40-2033AL G-2 Aliminum Differential Cover

Put this on and was also upgrading to sturdier front steering parts. Was having it aligned and it hits at full lock. Stock steering hit even worse. Havent decided to replace diff cover or get different one. Rear dana 44 clears and doesnt leak. Disapointed. Looks good thou. And super thick. Definitely recommend for dana 44 rear. Plus mine was easier to install i have a 4 inch lift.

I purchased this as a more price consious alternative to some of the other more expensive rear covers. THis one is aluminum, which as everyone knows is a better heat conductor (hence disapation over surface area convection) than steel and have additional ribs cast in to increase the surface area more. It has a drain at the bottom to facilitate oil changes which is super nice. I typically would not change the oil in my dif because it was a pain and a mess, this makes it very nice. The mating surface is very well machined and does a very good job sealing against the cast iron differential housing. Very nice. I would like to put one on the front diff too!!

My Dana-44 axle cover is close to the gas tank on my Jeep TJ/LJ 2005 Unlimited with a 2-inch lift.The structural fin to the right of the top fill-plug partially blocks your access as well as your view of the fill-plug.So the space is cramped when trying to remove this fill-plug with an Allen wrench/key.Consequently removing the fill-plug is time consuming. Putting it back in is equally frustrating.

I ordered this for my 2009 Jeep Dana 44 rear axle. The cover was a perfect fit, high quality manufactured, and looks incredible on the Jeep. The only issue is that the drain plug and fill plug were both extremely tight and I had to use a cheater bar to loosen them, no big deal though. The ordering and shipping experience as always with Amazon went without a hitch. I highly recommend this product for anybody wanting to add a little more off-road protection and a more aggressive look beyond the stock cover.

I cant speak much for the front cover, but this rear cover has given me at least a 4 or 5 bump in HP. looks great too; nice touch after re-gear.

There should be a plug inline with the bottom of axle tube. It's impossible to verify the amount of gear oil. We all know what happens running to much gear oil. Seals RIGHT....... They look great. But this is the only cover I've seen that doesn't have a plug or a mini dip stick at the fill height.

Awesome covers! Very light!!! Look cool as hell, and even took a 12 hour journey and this thing stays nice and cool!!! A bit wide for the front of my Jeep so I had to grind down one of the fins, but works fine now! My friends love em' too!! G2 rocks!!!!!!!!!

I must say that I love these covers. I painted them black to match the axle housing. I purchased 2 of these covers with the lubelockers about 6 months ago, and so far no leaks. They have taken a beating, and held up great. I would recommend these to anyone.
