Protects waist and leg above knee as well as back side and feels comfortable
Purchased for protection against off road falls on my electric board. I was getting bad bruises on my legs/hips going up and down hills and uneven dirt/grass parks. This protects me from the waist down (in addition to knee pads) from any bruising and scrapes so far. It’s like falling on a pillow, seriously. Wished I had these on for my two falls riding over 20 mph on pavement. Padding on rear also helps when landing on your butt. Wearing these under loose jeans and no one notices I have the padding on underneath.

Great protection “just in case”
I’m a winter Fat Bike rider in the Midwest USA. The trails I ride can be a mix of fluffy unpacked snow to slush and the occasional slick ice patch. After two side falls on my left hip (heavy bruise) I felt I was pushing my luck and decided to invest in hip protection. I wanted subtle protection. Many of the padded shorts have bulky foam pads. I wanted something a bit more hidden and not make it look like my hips were bulging. These shorts are the perfect balance of slim fit and strong protection.Fit: I am a 34 Waist (in jeans) and 6’ 3”. The 36-38 are perfect for me. See the images.Protection: I purchased these only 2 days after my hip injury. After putting them on I pressed down in my injured area. The pain was directly under the hard plastic shell which tells me my impact point should be well-protected if another wipeout occurs.Quality: No question these are a great value for the purchase price. Unfortunately, a small seam is coming undone in the crotch area. Looks to be a minor repair which I can easily do.

I feel like an armored toy.
Comfy while riding an euc tbh, got over my milli vanilli fears and just wear these out in the open lol (I'd add matching color boxers). It's meant to protect you just like the knee pads, wrist guards, vest armor in an event of all to common fall and eventual road rash. I do change out of them once at work though. Ill update to see how good/ bad it handles or tears under use in time.Having face planted only facing forward so far in riding luckily it's just been the kneepads, chest and wristguards taking the brunt. A sideways motion fall will definitely be a hip side and elbow hit. Can never predict these things but peace of mind to be covered for that split second wtf moments.

Good for the price.
I like the fit, and the size chart was accurate. I like the hard shell points, especially if you are using it undergarment.Be aware that hard shell parts could make you slide further on a paved surface in a crash. Reccomend an over garment if you are riding street. The 4 star rating is only because the tailbone protective shell tends to stick out the sides a bit. It might get better with time. We will see.

Fit just Right
I got these for motorcycle riding to wear under my pants. I hope to never see how they work, but any protection is better than none. Covers all of the right places.

I feel safe and confident whenever I wear this...
I wear this when I go out mountain biking on tough trails. Saved my thighs/butt twice...up and down hill.On technical trails for beginners like me, there's a chance that I will make mistakes and fall (hopefully not too hard)...but this has kept me going after a fall. Wearing this will prevent cuts and bruises. I can ride again the next day with no need for recovery from injuries.

Falling apart....try something else.
First let me say the pads both the foam and hard plastic are all correctly placed. The fit runs true to size. The down side is the stitching on two of the pads is coming undone and the pads are barely hanging on. The pads are less than two months old and are now worthless. I sent a detailed message to the company and received no reply. I personally will never buy from this company again and would certainly not recommend them....there are many other companies out there to deal with.

Not the quality I expected seems like 2 uses and it will be already done.
Look for a quality one if you're doing any type of sports such as MTB. This will definitely not provide protection if you fall off your bike or doing any kind of sport that requires a bit of speed. Not recommended.
