Optimus 5 Inch Foam Speaker Repair Kit Optimus Pro LX-5, FSK-5Ji (Pair)

Ordered FSK-5ji set per Simply Speaker recommendation. Actual measurements of set I received A=4-3/8”, B=4”, C=3-1/8”, D=2-3/4”. Contacting seller for replacement/return. Will update later. Update::: Vendor sent replacement set super quick. Simple Speakers matched the size I truly needed vs what was ordered. Provided video for back mounting foam to cone. Gluing to small 5” speaker tricky but using the coffee stirrer stick did the job. No need to buy a new speaker, works like new. Will use Simply Speakers for my next refoam surround project!

This woofer surround repair kit worked as advertised. The directions were easy to follow and with some patience, and by taking my time, the results were exactly what I was hoping for. My Optimus Pro LX5 speakers now sound great and work flawlessly. I did watch a few YouTube videos for this kind of repair prior to taking on the task. The videos were helpful and recommended for anyone trying this for the first time. It's definitely a do-it-yourself project though. And as always the product arrived quickly and the purchase was hassle free!

Worked as expected. Easy to install. Good instructions that were very clear. Little loss of tonal quality in the speaker.

Watched a video on this, and looked very straight forward, which it is, but actually doing it took some additional thinking on getting it to fit correctly. The process is simple, but if not an exact match like the video, then trying to center the gasket with the speaker cone AND the frame can be a challenge, and then spending time pushing it down to have good contact got old. Had thought I only needed to do one speaker, but after the one repair, the other needed it. It was like the power went to the second speaker more after the repair. Doesn't make sense, but that is what it appeared. Plan on doing both speakers. Why? Once the glue gets opened, it dries out, despite having the cap on tight.Would I do it again? Yes. The quality of speaker is the reason.

Made the speaker like brand new excellent sound

Good product. I paid attention to previous reviews about being careful with the adhesive and its stickyness -- which was good advice. Make sure you have everything in place before you use the adhesive. Made my old speakers sound like new again.

The foam is a generic 5 inch speaker foam, but the LX-5 is slightly larger 5.2 inches so they don't exactly fit.

directions were not very clear but I glued it my way and it worked great. Saved my speakers from the dump.
