If you are looking for a feel-good, tickle-the-ears, justify-what-I-want-the-Word-to-say (instead of what it actually says), easy study to skim through without reckoning with the Scriptures -- then this is *not* the book for you. This is not a self-help book, but a book that helps point out areas specific to women that we tend to struggle with, not give proper consideration to, or even dismiss as unimportant to the life of a believer in the Lord God. I have read Elizabeth George's 'Beautiful in God's Eyes', 'A Woman After God's Own Heart', and 'A Young Woman After God's Own Heart' and one of the things I appreciate most about Mrs George's writing style is how conversational and inviting it really is. Reading through her books is akin to sitting down to coffee with an old friend -- inviting, safe, encouraging and yet challenging in a loving way. This book is no different, and it has been incredibly edifying to read through. As good as this book is -- and it is -- I am reading through it (about a chapter a week) and working through the questions offered in the separate Study and Growth guide book that is sold apart from this, the book proper. The study guide has only served to deepen my engagement and meditation upon the thoughts Mrs George has offered and ultimately, what the Lord desires from women who say they love Him and want to live their lives for His glory. I highly recommend both for anyone looking for a challenging study that asks you to *think* and *act* upon what God's Word has revealed to us as believers in Jesus.

This is a book by Elizabeth George that every woman should obtain a copy and spend much time in reading it from cover to cover. It speaks so much about issues that are directly related to areas of our lives that God has called us to move away from in order to utilize our full potential of raising the bar on important values necessary to attain our God-made high calling. If women can attain this, the Spirit of God and His favor would move deep down and out so that Christ's eternal light would ever radiate from within and without of our presence into the presence and lives of others. After all, why should we be partakers of destroying lives with our maladaptive behaviors instead of taking on the full garb of Christ and his character so that we can become true life-givers to others who are falling apart, are lost and can't find their way, or who have no hope? This book redirects us to the things we need to identify and change in our lives so that we can become better women of a high-calling God. This book is highly recommended to our women at our church. I am so thankful a friend told me about "A Woman's High Calling." I have been reading it with a few other women who are committed to reading God's word and allowing our minds, wills, words, actions, hearts, and attitudes to be transformed by it through the power of the Holy Spirit. "A Woman's High Calling" does such a great job breaking down each element of instruction in Titus 2 directed toward women. It is so clear that Elizabeth George is filled with the Spirit and also LOVE for women! She has the gift of teaching and encouraging. I want to be the "Lord's Lady," "God's Woman," as she says, and this book has been just what I've needed.

Myself, along with a few other women, read this book together and I thoroughly recommend all women to read this book.

This is an amazing spiritual book on A Woman's High Calling: 10 Essentials for Godly Living. This is an inspiring book that opened my eyes to the essentials of Godly living from Elizabeth George's perspective. My eyes have been opened to so many facets/areas of my life with regard to becoming a better person, wife and mother the way God would have me to be. My relationships with family and friends has gone to another level as I allow myself to be tranformed by God. Her practical/true stories about her life and dealings with other Christians is very rewarding to read.

Studying a high calling can be intimidating and convicting. Elizabeth does an excellent job of helping you see the need and applying it to your life. Very scripture based.

We're using this study for a new women's bible study at our church. Elizabeth George has such practical wisdom from God's word for women! Her use of personal insight and unique experiences enhances the study in God's word and helps to make every lesson clear. Highly suggest this for any woman, any age seeking to pursue God's calling in being the person He created her to be.

This book is an eye opener for the woman seeking to put Christ first in her life. Elizabeth George definitely makes you delve into your innermost thoughts and struggles and feelings to get to the heart of the matter. This is a great book to use for a women's Bible study.

Im really happy with this purchase!!! A friend recommended this book to me and I cannot stress enough how important it is for women of all ages. I’m not even half way through and I already have gained new perspective on life. I would even recommend it to fathers with daughters or men with significant female figures in their lives.I was pleasantly surprised to get my book the next day because my estimated delivery date was 3 days later. The prompt delivery worked out great for me because I haven’t been able to put it down (apart from to eat, sleep and shower, obviously).In life it’s all about the little things and the speed in which my item was shipped improved my overall experience. I haven't Completed studying this book but so far I believe it to be a very good self improvement book to live the way Christ would want us to.
