This is a great introduction to global architectural history. Highly illustrated and expansive, it covers a wide range of places and typologies with concise essays and explanations. This is a great price for such a well produced volume and a massive amount of information.

So much information in these "The Whole Story" books, as well as pictures. Brilliant.

Enjoy the book

Insanely detailed, sometimes too much for its own good. But overall, I'm incredibly pleased with the quality and level of depth with which this book describes the various movements in architectural history, chronologically (starting from the first observed architectural fragments to modern day trends).

A wonderful book!
