SAFAVIEH American Homes Collection Connery Distressed Black Cabinet

I needed a space to store bottled water in my kitchen and was hoping to find something to match our coffee bar. This cabinet did both of those things! It is a well made cabinet with lots of storage space! The door has a secure hinge and a beautiful knob. The wicker baskets are very substantial, however, there is no base to the basket ‘drawers’ so you need to take care when removing or replacing the baskets into place (from previous reviews I was aware if this). I really love this new cabinet and feel it’s worth the price! Plus it was already assembled which is a major bonus!!

This came already assembled which was so nice and convenient. I was slightly disappointed with the quality of the top piece so i put a clear shelf liner underneath the coffee maker to protect it from liquids. The size was perfect for my area and so convenient by my back door for holding dog treats and items like bug spray and charcoal. It would look great in any room or purpose.

Cabinet was better then my expectations were. It fit perfect and is a beautiful piece.

I needed just a little extra storage and counter space for my bathroom so I wasn’t encroaching on my partner’s side of the sink. This definitely did that job. The baskets hold a good amount of my toiletries and the surface was big enough to add a basket of my own for some of the things I use daily.The only drawbacks are the baskets sometimes get a little caught pulling them in and out and the whole unit wobbles just a little bit - not enough to be a problem but the legs are not 100% even.Overall it looks great and serves exactly what I need. I’d purchase again.

Good quality! No assembly (bonus!). Extremely well packaged -especially since it traveled across the country. ( Ironically it matches a piece I had which I purchased years ago. ) I did put felt furniture protectors under bottoms of baskets to help them slide out better. If you lift basket a bit & then pull out its fine. Would buy from this company in future.

The overall cabinet seems to be decent quality and is the only thing I found that was what I wanted and fits exactly in a space in my bathroom. However, the basket drawers are very difficult to get in and out, one more so than the other (and I had to cut a piece that had unraveled on the bottom of it; it just seems overall worse quality than the other basket) . I tried what another reviewer mentioned with contact paper and felt, but I wish I knew what glue was used because I could not get anything to stick. I've tried looking for different types of baskets but can't find any the exact right size. My next attempt will be to try inserting balsa wood to create bottom support and use smaller baskets or bins. The cabinet itself would have been better if that full-coverage bottom support in the drawer areas was already there instead of just small edges.Update: For a fix, I used balsa wood (12 X 12 X 1/16 Inch) and inexpertly, unevenly cut about 2 inches off one side (but the unevenness doesn't matter much since there is no lip in the back for it to rest on) with a craft knife. I covered them in contact paper. I used duct tape partly to help hold the contact paper and partly for a surface that mounting putty would be more likely to stick to. I used mounting putty to help hold it to the 3 lips that do exist. I used baskets from a set of 7 (Sorbus, if the brand may remain), measuring 11.75’’ L x 11.75’’ W x 5.75’ H and X-Large: 11’’ L x 11’’ W x 5.25’’ H -- yes, they stick out a little, but it's fine for where I have it. I haven't used it long with this fix, so I hope it works out in the long run. It was a lot of extra work and expense to make this cabinet work out. If I had found anything else I liked that fit my spot I would not have kept this.

Came assembled which was a nice surprise. Looks great.
