I bought this for an upcoming Cruise (Sept). Received today and tried it using magnet base on stove and worked perfectly and held position. Also tried sitting on counter top in bathroom and works great also as can swivel it in any position needed (same as using magnet base). Put on Auto and waited for light to go out (a few seconds) and motion sensor works great. Slight movement turned on and LED is just bright enough to see what is needed (toilet & area around) & light up the area but not so bright to hurt a sleeping pair of eyes. I think this would be perfect for hallways, bathroom or any area where some light is needed whether in hotel, cruise stateroom or even home. Fits in the palm of my hand and light and base separates if needed for smaller packing needs. I don't think you could go wrong purchasing this light. Perfect addition to my traveling/packing needs. Does have an Auto and an On button, so can leave on continuously or use Auto for motion Sensor. Again, I haven't used yet for my cruise so can't say if it will hold on Magnetic walls of stateroom, but regardless I can use on counter top, floor or anything with a flat surface. So happy I purchased this and can't wait to use for traveling. Received a Thank you gift of a an Ebook for 201 Cruise Hacks, haven't redeemed yet but nice little extra I wasn't expecting.

Works great. Used it on our cruise. It went on when someone got up, but wasn't too bright to wake the other person. Just bright enough to find our way, though. I love the magnetic base too - it allows you to aim the light where you want and gives the flexibility to sit on a table or stick to a magnetic surface/wall.

Worked perfect on our cruise! Stuck it on the wall by the bathroom to help with middle of the night trips to the bathroom! Bright enough to see and not trip, but didn’t disturb the rest of the room! One set of batteries worked for our entire 10 day cruise!

I purchased based on other reviews and recommendations. So glad I did. Took it on a cruise. Placed it on the ceiling of the bathroom and it turned on with the slighted movement including the door opening. Only thing I would say is that it does not stay on long. So, if you are sitting in the bathroom doing your business, it may shut off, so wave your hands and it's back on again. The brightness was perfect for middle-of-the-ngiht but not super bright. If you needed it for a closet area to find anything, then you will be disappointed. Few things to keep in mind, it works great on the ceiling, but if placed on a wall, it may slide. Also, there is no off button. So, when you pack it away for travel, I actually used blue painters tape to hold one battery outside it so it was easy to plug in upon arrival and the batteries wouldn't die in transit.

Good quality, value for money, easy to set up/install, bright, and sensitive to motion in the dark when you need it.

This has worked great for us on two cruises so far!!! We did not use the included magnet, only placed on the floor in the "auto/on" mode.

I just got it in the mail and I am so excited to try it out!!! I was nervous about the size and weight of this adorable nightlight when I ordered it, but it is small! Which is a good thing!!!!! My husband and I are frequent cruisers and we have a lot of tricks to traveling with minimal luggage, so ordering a nightlight was a big deal. The whole thing fits in the hand nicely and with the batteries is not that heavy - the batteries are ninety percent of the weight!! The light this produces is surprisingly bright! It is not so bright that it will wake us up but it will keep us from running into things! I am going to try it out in our bedroom tonight to see if it is dim enough for me to sleep through, plus it is day now so I want to test out the motion sensor. Although I am usually the one getting up so I doubt it will be a problem. The sensor does come on when I touch it but not when I walk past it right now. Great battery saver!!! It does slide down my fridge due to the weight of the batteries so I wish the magnet was a little more powerful but I still can't wait to try it on our cruise in October. I can also add that I dropped it when I was taking it off the fridge and is survived the fall! It is built well but I stopped thinking and forgot that it is two pieces. Oops! Down it went and bounced on the floor!

This is especially useful for travel when the bathroom light switch is on the outside of the bathroom! So annoying that you have to wake your roomie up when you turn the bathroom lights on in the middle of the night. The motion sensor works very well. It gives a soft light so it doesn't completely wake you up but gives enough light to see the room. It should work well for other uses also. It is also removable from the base and can be positioned in a number of different ways. LOVE IT!!

Very useful for travelling! Light and easy to pack. In addition, it gives off enough light to let you move around but not so much that it is glaring.
