They produce all the leather used in making Ecco shoes, taking measures to protect the environment at the same time. Their sole aim is to make a comfortable walking shoe. Review: Not the comfort I expected from Ecco. - Me and my wife have been wearing Ecco shoes since 2004 and preferred them over anything else. Buyin was easy and even try-on was not mandatory - I just bought my size of the shoes/boots I liked and I new they would fit perfectly. Not this time. It's not too big or too large - but fingers are getting squeezed when walking, and heels are chafed. Alas, nowadays major currencies depreciate fast, so all manufacturers are reducing quality to maintain the prices on the same or similar level. This is the first Ecco I have that is made in China, and it looks and feels as a cheap Clarks model. UPDATE Well, after 3 weeks they feel more comfortable, and I'm not that disappointed by the purchase.

Not the comfort I expected from Ecco.

Comfortable Shoes
These were good and fit as expected. They are rubber bottom shoes (I prefer leather) but work well and look nice.

Too Small for its size
I have worn German made ECCO shoes but thes were made in China and uncomfortably small for the size, I returned them. I will stay away from this brand.

nice shoes, they sent the wrong size
Love ecco shoes and these are comfortable. They sent an extra wide pair. Wasn't labeled such on the box, but said extra wide on the footbed. Ended up being too big and of course now they are out of stock. Very disappointed

Extremely comfortable shoe
ECCO brand shoes were recommended by a podiatrist I consulted for a painful heel problem. The shoe I bought, a Birmingham Loafer, is undoubtedly the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn and appears to be of extremely high quality, both labor and leather. After having worn it for about 3-4 months, I recommend it without reservation. ECCO Men's Birmingham Loafer

The best shoes I can find
I love Ecco shoes - when they fit. Sometimes they run a little large sometimes a little small. But when they do fit they are the best in the world. Not too heavy they can be worn all day without tiring your feet.

Long time Ecco fan. These are OK.
This would be my 6th pair of Eccos so I'm familiar with the fit. My Fred Flintstone feet don't fit as comfortably in any other shoe. That said, the heel slips a bit in these, which can be expected in a slip-on shoe. My primary complaint is that the "100% Leather upper" is made of that cheap plasticy leather I'm seeing more and more of these days. As a result, the shoe doesn't break in properly.
