The Ether All-Mountain ski is the all mountain ski you've been looking for. Cruising through corduroys? Check. Wonder off into the trees? Check. Afternoon sesh in the park? Check. The versatility of the Ether begins with its Poplar wood core that eliminates unnecessary weight and provides the responsive stiffness preferred by skiers looking to slash their way down the mountain. A 92mm waist width and traditional camber underfoot produce powerful turn initiation when taking on everything from early morning hard packed to late day ice. The Ether's also come equipped with rockered tip and tail to create skis that are ready to smoothly surf soft tree lines, ensure control over the crud, and ease through the deeper days. Sturdy ABS sidewalls help to protect the core from damage as Austria-imported full steel edges offer long-lasting durability, as well as increasing agility. These all-terrain titans also come equipped with a speedy sintered base that is simple to maintain while adding a level of resiliency to these already domineering snow slayers. The Ether's are a mountain-conquering force to be reckoned with, that are ready and willing to take on whatever winter brings.

Cat not included. Traverse brand flagship.
Hooray! AFTER some minor tribulations with the Traverse brand fighting scratches and scrapes (see Theia 160cm and Atlas 178cm reviews), I found a good pair of skis.Theia had some dings and rust that deflated the unpacking.Atlas may be the accidental ugliest skis I have ever seen. The Ether..... Is it good by mistake? At 188cm L and 92mm waist these should float. I got them mounted for $70. Why 70? Well, I got the rare frame bindings on them ready to hike as soon as I trim the skins. I even got the Quest boots that have a hiking setup. The frame binding is heavy but I'm new to the AT Alpine Touring game. The Ether came as a flat ski with clear wrapping which isn't guaranteed by the obsolete Traverse brand.I see Retrospec or Amazon or someone tried to create an ongoing brand market by giving away skis for reviews. I admire the effort, but it's too confusing without some product management here.I may suspect that A.I. is managing the Traverse product line at this point. I could be wrong. All I know is that the Theia was an odd introduction as I got a splinter opening the skis then Atlas 178cm deflated immediate future expectations for Traverse brand.I don't know much about Xander Bicycle or Retrospec except that they don't seem like ski companies. But, there's the Ether.I was looking for something good enough to float with my AAAdrenaline bindings. The 188cm long skis for the bill. Now I just need (winter) breaks in the warm weather and pandemic.Good luck to all with that.(2) I also tried a pair with the M10 bindings and my light K2 Pinnacle boots -- quite a combo. These skis are super light and fun. There's already some discoloration on the base, but too fun to care.

Nice Skis
They work as well as my Atomics all mountain and have very similar specs. There's too much ski for a slalom/mogul ski but there's plenty to float through powder. That said, these guys will get you to the powder slopes over the packed stuff without many issues. Since there are few skis available, this was the low price option - that paid off.
