Great pan while it lasted.
I have several of these pans by KW including a large wok, 3 covered saucepans and 2 sizes of their frying pans. All have held up beautifully and have had lots of use. I do put them in the dishwasher sometimes but they also clean up quickly with a scrubber meant for non-stick surfaces. I bought this 12" frying pan in September 2022 and it is already pitted and scratched. The images show the pits in the non-stick surface and that the base metal is coming through. I don't think it was because of metal utensils because I mostly use it for eggs and I don't own a metal spatula. So today I am ordering another one because there is really nothing like it that works as well for non-stick cooking of fried eggs. I only hope it holds up better than this one did.

Update - Tossed after a year
This is an update to my original review. I purchased this late december 2013 and have tossed it in the trash late december 2014. I noticed a small spot in the coating about a month ago. Today, the small spot was large and the metal underneath was rusting. I can't account for everyone in my household, but they were asked not to use metal utensils when using this device. It also never saw the inside of the dishwasher. Somehow the coating didn't last over a year and now the pan is going to fill some space in the ground somewhere. It was great to cook with while it lasted. I could flip my eggs without a spatula and after a small learning curve, I was able to master my over easy eggs without overcooking the yolks. I won't be buying it again and instead will look for something with a more durable coating so I don't have to contribute to a landfill quite as often. If anyone has a good suggestion, I'm open to ideas. Thank you.**ORIGINAL**The pan is fairly solid feeling, and the non-stick is nice. My grandmother was here when I opened the package and said she has one and it is easy to clean. I look forward to making bacon and eggs tomorrow morning with it. May have a different review then, but if not, it did the job well.

Non-stick that really works
I have bought these pans in the past, for me these a real non-stick pans. I still try out pans to see if there is anything out there that compares, i havenโt found any yet. These pans have a nice weight, and the non-stick feature last for me about a good year and a half, even then they still have a better quality than in stores. The only problems i have found are, if you overheat them it will turn them a slight brown color and will shorten the life of them in about half the time. The other is cutting in the pan, they are pretty hardy, but they can be damaged, other than that, i will buy this brand for years to come.

I love this pan!
After reading a lot of reviews about the peeling coating, I had to weigh in. I have had this pan for over one year and I choose to use at every meal, whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner - and with three sons and my husband I cook at least three meals a day. Why, because even pure sugar, or sugary sauces do not burn and stick to this pan. It is amazing. I choose it over my le creuset, scan pan, all clad pans because nothing sticks to it and it gives it a great flavor and coloring as if you are cooking on cast iron, but without the mess. The only things I do to maintain it is to treat it like le creuset and scan pan suggests and I keep heat on medium high or below, and I always hand wash. However that said, it has been forgiving, I once left the empty pan on medium high burner after finishing cooking one meal and didn't notice for ten minutes into dinner. That did change the color of interior a bit, but it did not change it's effectiveness, I am buying another to have as back up because I never want to be without this pan,

Love the pan the 5th star is picky
This pan is great. Heats up quickly and evenly. The non stick surface is the best I have ever seen. Especially cool is that it is also on the outside. With many non stick pans the inside cleans out but anything on the outside it still baked on and needs to be scrubbed. This is a wipe out, wipe off pan!My husband is an amazing cook and can be somewhat selective with his tools. It passed his test as a great pan. He only wished the top edges were rolled in a bit to allow easier tossing. It's probably that way on the 8 inch omelet pan. May get that later. The single star I left off was because the handle is ordinary. We really like a nice handle on our pans and this one is just OK.Love the pan, buy it, it's a great pan and a good value!

No Lead Found!
I loved this pan. When I went back to Amazon to buy another one, I saw a review by someone stating there was a warning about Phthalates AND Lead. That did not make much sense to me knowing it was made in Korea where people have gotten highly educated about and sensitive to toxins. But, I wasn't going to risk my family's health. Too bad, I thought, as it really is one of the best pans I have ever used. Then, I found and bought a set of Instant Lead Tests (by Lead Check) sold by Amazon and tested the pan I had at home. The result: NO LEAD. As to Phthalates (DEHP), I don't know how to test for it, but I don't see how DEHP, a primary plasticizer for PVC, would be on the cooking surface meant for high temperature operation. Maybe the handle tested positive for it? Given the type of hard material used for the handle, I don't think it is a high risk area, if any. So, guess what, I am buying another ceramic marble coated pan!
