Beautiful...but!
The box is absolutely beautiful. It has an old feel to it, which I love. I started practicing calligraphy and my husband seen me struggling with storing all my pens and inks, so he purchased this box for me as a gift. The box was just what I needed. It's heavy and has many different compartments. However, the inkwell came broken and the stamp does not seem to be of the best quality. The pen is beautiful. For the inkwell, my husband contacted the seller and they sent another one. The new inkwell is smaller and is not as pretty and the original one that came with the box. Overall, the box is the main focal point of the purchase. I am pleased and absolutely love it.

Most of the stuff in the box is crap, but the box itself is marvelous.

Good quality and useful, but small & overpriced.
Reasonably well constructed - no major complaints on craftsmanship (4.5 out of 5; obviously mass produced). Only real issues are the size and price; too small and overpriced. Yes, I read the description about the size beforehand - thought it would still work for me. If it was larger (able to hold 8.5”x11” paper and more storage space) it would be worth the price. As is... reduce the price by $20.00 and then it would be a fair amount. Also Ink bottle has no “seal” in the lid - will leak if tipped (ie. if box is carried tilted). I’m still going to be able to use the box, but I’m probably going to have to have a better version custom built, since this is the only type of box like this that I have found online.

Nearly perfect!
The box and most of the items in it are as shown. Very nice. But the ‘eagle’ stamp was nothing like the one shown online. More of a little bird.
