Sticky (in a good way), soft, and dampening grip. The best!
I've tried several different grips and these are by far my favorite. They provide quite a bit of comfort and grip. There is noticeable shock absorption in the hands. I recently rode with a different bike and my hands were killing me. Thickness is up to your preference as they sell many different types but I've got a small/medium size hand and the standard one works well. They have a lot of color options which is a plus. Installation can be a bit tricky, but with some IPA (isopropyl alcohol), they should slide on with some elbow grease. Last note: in the rain, the grips can get slightly slick, but nothing more than you would find with other grips. Highlights - great value - sticky and soft - shock absorbing - variety of colors lowlights - slightly more effort with installation - slightly slick when wet

Do not confuse these with cheap foam grips that look similar.
These are the best grips I know of. bar none. I've tried all sorts of friction grips. I've tried a lot of ergo grips and a lot of gel padded gloves. With these I have a great grip and great padding. I don't even wear gel padded gloves any more. Better friction and more durable than any friction grip. works when wet. And super comfortable and more durable too. For comparison, THe best Ergo grips I have used by far are by Ergon which are a nice platform grip but the problem with them is that like all platform grips you can't wrap your fingers all the way around and they also are not too grippy. For comparison, all the expensive friction rubber grips that let you wrap your fingers around them are too bone jarring and also get really a gooey mess if you sweat into them. high friction rubbers also wear down after a year. Finally all the cheap "foam" rubber grips don't last, they just squish out and your is hand against solid bar, they have smooth slippery finishes, plus they don't resist twisting forces so are poor grips. This one is NOT foam rubber. It's a kind of high density closed cell Silicone foam. the trick here is it is high density. I tried other silicone grips and none were high density. the surface is rough and actually grippier than friction rubber, but it doesn't get gooey if you sweat into it. its luxuriously shock absorbing. better than any gel glove. gel gloves tend to be thick, and their squishiness loosens your grip. These are more plush but rigidly grippy. It also holds up as well as anything else to cuts and slashes on the trail. there's a trick to installing these. THe reason these things don't rotate on your handle bars (they lack locks) is they are incredibly tight fits. so getting them on is impossible unless you know the secret. Rinse the inside with isopropyl alchohol. push them on a little way. then get a cloth towel and twist them back and forth as you slide them on. You may think, I don't need a towel. you do but I can't tell you why, you just can't twist them enough without it. Do it like that and Totally easy to install. Getting them off is even harder. There's two ways. one is to repeatedly inject isopropyl with a syringe while twisting and tugging. it's hard but they come off. the other way I have seen it done in a shop is to use compressed air to remove them.

Great MTB, cumbersome install
These grips are comfy and I believe live up to some of the hype. I used them for about 3 MTB rides. Getting them on using rubbing alcohol worked great but it takes a lot more effort getting them off. I ended up wedging zip ties under the grips to get them off. This is more effort than I want to deal with and decided to go with lock on grips. Pros: - lighter than lock on grips - comfy And great feel Cons: - a lot harder to install than lock on grips, if you’re a tinkerer like me and you try different bars or components/levers this becomes really annoying - not the most durable, I knocked the end of the bars on a tree and it took a chunk out of the grip. It didn’t impact my ability to use them but this hasn’t been an issue with rubber lock on grips.

They are very nice
These grips are the best I've ever used. 6 months so far. Maybe they're a bit plain in appearance but they are just thick enough to provide noticeable cushion, excellent feel and grip, and they stay securely in place. I had no difficulty installing them, just do what the directions. I used alcohol liberally.

Outstanding grips.
I've tried a bunch of different grips and have found these to be my absolute favorite grips. The oddest thing is that these are more comfortable without gloves. I ride with a pair of Troy Lee Design gloves which are very good with the other grips I have used. They are okay with these grips but I prefer to ride without gloves with these grips. I've gone on a couple long rides and have hit the single tracks with these and I have to say I won't buy any other grips for a long time. They are a bit tricky to get on. I found if you spray some rubbing alcohol on the bar and inside the grips they go on rather easily. Taking them off will be a chore. If I have to replace them I will just cut them off. I did not use the bar ends that came with them, I used some from my previous grips because they go with the color scheme of the bike. I have read that these grips have a tendency to get chunks torn out at times from crashing but I don't care. They have great grip with or without gloves . I rode yesterday and I was very sweaty and not once did they ever feel slick with sweaty hands. I highly recommend thesee grips. They are priced very well I think and I will be buying another set to give to my son for his mtb.
