Coaster Home Furnishings Dixon Square End Table with Bottom Shelf Espresso

Needed a classy looking table that was larger than most end tables to go in the corner better sofa and loveseat in a small room. This is perfect even in height. It has a beautiful, high/end finish, is sturdy, and spruce. It goes nicely with the other one that we spent $400 on from a local furniture store.

I needed a sturdy end table to hold a heavy family heirloom lamp, somewhat plain to not detract from the lamp being the centerpiece, but not "rustic." I also needed it to be 24" diameter and 22-24" high, so my choices were somewhat limited by dimensions. I am very pleased with the style, sturdiness, and quality of this table. If the description didn't indicate it was MDF, I don't think I would have known it. I think parts of it are real wood.Assembly was absurdly easy. It took me about 15 minutes, but that was only because I was being overcautious to do it right. I'm not great at assembly-by-picture. Having spread out a sheet on the floor before emptying the box, in anticipation of the bag of "bolts and nuts and cams and..." , I found two table surfaces, four legs, and are you ready, the "bag" contained eight pieces plus a hex wrench! Eight *metal* bolts each with two metal washers already on them. Plus, they screwed into *metal* holes on the legs, by hand, then tightened with the wrench. Everything was perfectly aligned. One suggestion -- don't overwork trying to hold the tapered leg into it's slot while assembling. With the sturdy metal hole, I found that holding the leg lightly and screwing the bolt in slowly by hand actually pulled the leg perfectly into place.For anybody very discerning, the stain on one of the legs was uneven or rubbed and the hole down at the tapered end of one leg had been plugged and re-drilled. The visual was not an issue, I just put that leg in back. I actually found the fixed hole to be another great thing about this piece. There was obviously some quality control. I would not have been able to fix this myself.Great value for the money!

The finish is really well done. It’s as high as my chair. Very sturdy.

This is a beautiful table if you can manage a little bit of assembly. The wood is heavy--not flimsy. The table is very sturdy. The large size (24 x 24) allows for lots of remotes, drinks, clocks, tablets, books, etc.The fact that Amazon's price was a third of an online competitor made it even sweeter.

Was looking for a simple coffee table. This came well packaged easy to assemble. Absolutely love the look of the wood.

Purchased for my mom. She likes that it has a bottom shelf.

I just copied my coffee table review, because I feel the same about both pieces.I don't consider myself a high end furniture snob, but I do want well built solid wood furniture. This stuff fits the bill. It's heavy, easy to put together, looks great. The legs are solid wood, but the top and bottom deck (I think) are veneer over particle board or something. At some point I will stand on this instead of getting a step ladder and I'm sure it will hold all of my 200lbs no problem.It replaces a very similar coffee table that was getting a bit banged up after 10 years, and I know it will show scratches easily due to the dark color. I also got the end table and it matched perfectly.This is not fine hand crafted furniture, but better than ikea or walmart type stuff. I got both pieces for $225. which is a STEAL on good furniture in my opinion.

Easy to assemble. Look great. Would order again. First order was delivered to wrong address, but my order was fulfilled. They are very nice.

I bought this because we needed an end table that was a dark brown (almost black) color to match our coffee table. It fits the bill for that. It's also very sturdy, once assembled.The problems I had while assembling, however, were BAD. I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer, and have lots of tools and experience. I don't have issues with things that the regular Harry-Homemaker does, but this table was terrible to assemble. There were no spare bolts that came in the hardware kit, and one of the bolts was missing the slot in the head for the allen wrench. It was just a solid bolt head. Thank God I had extra bolts from other furniture projects I've done. That takes care of that problem, but I doubt many other people would've had the extras that I have.Next, there were two holes that should've been drilled in the gussets in the corners of the table top, that weren't drilled. They just passed the thing through QC, and obviously didn't check it. The funny thing was that the "PASSED" QC sticker was right next to one of the gussets that wasn't drilled. I had to take the thing to my drill press and carefully measure the hole locations and drill them.I don't mind doing woodworking projects at all, but the fact that I paid for something that was supposed to be easy to assemble really rubs me raw. Hope this helps future buyers.

The ease of assembly, the sturdiness and the good lines of this end table are well worth the price. Definitely would recommend this lovely table in the cappuccino.

I already had two of these end tables. I needed an end table for another room and found this, so I now have three. A little traditional, a little modern. I would strongly recommend.

I was very pleased with these end tables and sofa table. The wood is very pretty and more sturdy than I expected. It is wood, not cheap ply wood. The color is a beautiful deep brown wood. And matches most any kind of furniture setting. Came shipped in excellent boxing and packed very good inside the box. Put together in about 15 mins. Would definitely buy from this company again!!!

I purchased two of these for my living room. When I received them, I had to assemble, but the assembly only took maybe three-five minutes per table. I was thrilled to find that this a wood table, not pressed wood which has been wrapped with a plastic decorative coating. They're quite sturdy, extremely attractive, an all around bargain. These tables are equivalent to many I've seen for twice the price. If you're the type of person who likes some level of elegance, but don't have an elegant income, you should consider these tables, and take a look at other furniture by Coaster while you're at it. Or, if you're the person who has that "elegant" income, but doesn't feel the need to pay more for the same quality, lol, I encourage you to take advantage of this too.
