Ekena Millwork CM12CL Classic Ceiling Medallion, 12 3/8"OD x 4"ID x 1 1/8"P, Factory Primed

Bought this for a quick easy fix where changed out a old light for a fan in a 100+ year old house. This is a cheap made item, but it does what I needed it to do, covered up bad plaster and over sided hole.Looks good and if you can change a light, you can install this. I did not even bother painting it, matched the flat white ceiling just fine.Is it high quality? No. but it's on the ceiling so you should never touch it again.just use some construction glue to hold it in place, and put your light/fan back up. done

This size is perfect for an accent. The smooth design allows for a wide range of canopy widths.Most importantly this is a nice quality foam/resin composite and not the plastic cheap hollow style. Be careful when selecting here on Amazon, quite often you will find plastic instead.

Arrived scratched, otherwise the quality & design is very nice.

Our house was built in 1966 and has fabulous 9" square recessed fixtures. But we very much wanted a ceiling fan in our bedroom. Well, *I* did. Menopause, you know? ANYWAY...this medallion was the simplest I could find. Most were far too ornate. My handyman specified urethane, and he said this one was easy to work with.And now soft breezes blow across my bed at night.

I actually layered this over another medallion to add depth and substance. I really love how it turned out painted flat black.

As with most of the reviews on here, my so-called "primed" paint was chipped, and flaking off. The plastic is way too smooth for whatever cheap primer they have on it. You pretty much are required to remove their janky prime job and waste your time, and buy a quality plastic paint primer and re-prime it yourself. Bleh.

I installed this the same time as the new (hanging) light to cover issues in plaster around the box that occured when replacing the box in the ceiling. It is located in a back stairway, and 10-12 feet above the floor or stairs. I never even attached it to the ceiling. I did not caulk or paint either. It is just held in place by the light fixture, and looks great.

pure crap and full of flaws. There are cracks, scratches, excess lines and just poorly made. Made in Malaysia so go figure, but they should have a Malaysian price and it should not be the same price as the better quality ones. This probably cost a nickel to make so pure profit, Would not recommend at all.

The seller of this ceiling medallion should be admonished for selling this for $136 painted by a five year old. Perhaps even kicked off of Amazon for doing this to a loyal customer

We used this product in our guest bathroom to enhance the look of the French styled chandelier we put in. It looks great and we have had so many compliments! I would recommend the Elena Millwork CM12CL.
