OXO Large Upright Sweep Set, Off-white, 8.5" - 12"

I watched the videos about this set before purchasing and that helped me decide to buy the OXO set. It is easy to use, stand on its own for storage and I like having the option of lengthening the handle on the broom. I also like not having to bend down to sweep debris into the pan. It is a little bit heavy that attests to how well made it is and should last. It is easy to empty the pan contents into the wastebasket and easy also to wipe the pan out to keep it clean. The "comb" that helps remove debris from the brush is very useful.

I thought $33 bucks for a broom and dust pan was a bit high, but after reading a zillion reviews on this and several similar sets, I bit the bullet and got this. OMG. Double OMG. First, I opened the box fairly late one evening, so I had to wait until morning to try it out (ya wouldn't think a broom and dustpan would get you as excited as if you were 8 yrs old and getting a Red Rider BB Gun). The 2 things that bother me the most when sweeping is A. pulling all the hair and dust bunnies out of the broom and B the continual bending over which gets to be quite painful because of my lower back. So first off, I didn't have to bend over at all. I swept the bathroom. I swept the hall. It was almost too easy. HA! And you've probably read other reviews of the orange "teeth" that stick out, so you can pull the broom bristles thru them to dislodge the hair/dust bunnies. FABULOUS!! I have 2 long hair cats and I have long hair and then the dust bunnies (tried to find the parents and toss them outside but haven't been able to locate them, so they just keep making more dust bunny babies) - the orange teeth comb all that stuff right out of the broom bristles. And then there was a reviewer who took issue with there not being a hump towards the outer edge of the dust pan (like the bend-over short handle dust pans have). It is GREAT that there is not that hump. and the orange edge is narrow enough with a tad of flex so that and having no hump to get the dust, and stuff over, makes it super easy to move stuff into the dust bin. And I had no trouble keeping the crud in the bin until I emptied it. And the broom. It's a great broom. Bristles not too soft so they can sweep stuff out of cracks with no problem. And not too stiff either, so it's perfect for smooth surfaces or surfaces with a little texture. And the adjusting handle length is super handy. And I have no trouble with the length staying where I put it: quarter turn to loosen the upper part, slide to desired length, and quarter turn back to lock it in place. I used to dread sweeping (and I have an uncarpeted home, so there is plenty to sweep). Now I can just fly thru any sweeping job, with no bending over and no grabbing dust bunnies out of the bristles. And the fact that the 2 pieces clamp together and it is self supporting (it stands up on it's own) is excellent. Love love love it.

Excellent light grey color and silver-aluminum works well in the kitchen, and made this purchase viable given the unusable colors of hi-viz yellow, safety orange, red, or black brooms so many offer. The orange trim details are tolerable but I'd rather see OXO offer this with a similarly subtle blue or green trim. Excellent build quality and function--when it arrives, you should check that the dustpan's edge is straight and flat as reviews show there have been wavy-edged dustpans delivered. Mine was straight and proper so maybe OXO has worked this out better. In general I find OXO to be the high quality leader in small kitchen tools. I seldom prefer OXO's electrical appliances, but they're the best for kitchen tools like drainboards, brooms, tools. This OXO broom/dustpan is no exception in that the aluminum shafts have top quality finish with good handle and fixture details; the broom is full and feathered and easy to use with a smaller size that is perfect for the one-handed use I have for it. The broom / dustpan combination is a pleasure to use and actually makes me want to do the little chores this is for. check the labels for how to tighten the adjustable shaft at your desired length, but be patient if it doesn't tighten right away. At first I thought mine wouldn't tighten and would need to be returned but as I worked with it I found the threads engaged and it tightened solidly. I use its shortest setting which is perfect. I was looking for a mid-sized / shorter broom that was easy to use one-handed with a dustpan held by the other hand. I'm 5'11" so not in need of a short broom generally, but sweeping one-handed with a full height broom doesn't work for me. The smaller broom fits easily into the dustpan for storage without harming bristles; the dustpan clicks to stay open as you move from small mess to mess sweeping with one hand into the dustpan held with the other hand for the most efficient quickest cleanup use; then the two shafts click together for the easiest storage in a narrow space while the excellent colors mean it can be stored visibly and not have to be hidden in a closet. Really it's perfect.

I was getting really tired of my old dustpan leaving dust lines when I was finishing up, so I was looking for a good one with the rubber strip to help prevent that. This one is perfect. It has a clip to hold the broom to the dustpan pole so they’re always together when you need them. The dustpan and broom both have holes in the top so they can be hung on a hook. The dustpan is sturdy and the closed style holds more and bigger particles than an open style one without them falling out when you move it. It’s the perfect size for every day sweeping, or cleaning up after projects. It’s lightweight, but the broom doesn’t bend, even though it has the option to be extended to a longer length. The bristles aren’t super stuff, so the softness helps so that you don’t have to make 20 strokes to move your dust pile. I’m glad I went for the more expensive version, because it works like a charm! I don’t usually get excited about cleaning products, but this one will make sweeping a little less frustrating. The only thing I would add is a color option. Otherwise, this is a perfect dustpan for me!

I spent a LOT of time researching brooms. I am on a budget, and there were cheaper options but I don’t regret spending a little more for this amazing broom set. I love the bristles since they work well on my hardwood and tile and get into the corners well. They are soft but thick, don’t miss anything or fling stuff around. So easy to make piles or you can just sweep into the pan. Something about it also just FEELS good when I sweep which sounds weird but is true for me! It’s so satisfying. The beige color works great for me with just the hint of orange. I don’t have a broom closet, have a smaller apartment, and really need my surroundings to look and feel good for me to be calm. I wanted something that wouldn’t be an eye sore. This broom blends in well to my kitchen colors and tile vs something black, red, or blue. When you shrink the handle down you can really barely see it next to my microwave. So yay! The dustpan works great, I love the bristle cleaner, and it all feels so sturdy. The adjustable height is nice. You really have to twist it tightly for it to stay up, but I love the broom so much I don’t care when it slips a little. No biggie. I’m a nerd for this broom and glad I treated myself despite my tight budget. I’m a single mom with two jobs and spend so much time cleaning! I decided to at least give myself tools that look and feel good so I can enjoy the experience as much as possible. Even my cynical teen who originally said, “How can it be so great it’s just a broom?” Agrees now. He kinda sucks at sweeping (he knows) and I need him to get better at it so this helps! This broom does it for me!

Does not work on tile at all. Leaves so much behind and the pan is never flat enough to collect everything if so. Brook gets softer and softer leaving behind in cracks you cant see or when mopping becomes dirty. The dustpan comb is to wide unless combining broom q million.times. By the time you've swept your entire home twice, you realize the 3rd time cleaned boom or not, that your just pushing shuffling and spreading around dirt and bacteria.

I love this set! I first thought it was too small, but it ends up being more helpful getting in to corners. It’s great at picking up dog hair!!! It is sturdy and I love the telescoping handle. The dust pan stays in place yet folds up and down easily. The rubber on the edge of the dustpan reaches all the way across the pan. The comb at the top of the pan works great at getting the broom cleaned off. It may seem a bit pricy but I’ve tried a few and it stand above those others I’ve tried. Plus, it’s OXO! They just make great products and stand behind them!

Ich habe dieses Kehrset zum ersten mal 2017 gekauft, und seither im Einsatz um die Straßenrinne von Schmutz und Laub zu befreien. So weit ich das beurteilen kann, ist noch nicht eine Borste aufgefallen, das Teil ist absolut robust, langlebig und super praktisch, weil eben kein unnötiges bücken mehr! Habe mir jetzt ein weiteres Set für die Wohnung bestellt, und frage mich, warum ich das nicht längst getan habe. Ja, es ist etwas teuerer als andere Kehrsets, aber wirklich jeden Cent wert! Und den JoP-Shop kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen, sehr freundlich, rasend schnelle Lieferung und sehr gute und sichere Verpackung des Artikels. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Love it - game changer - effective, efficient and brilliant for pet hairs and kids mess - sweep straight into the dustpan and tip into the bin - really good at sweeping skirting boards and the odd high up spots, tops of picture frames/lampshades etc. The dustpan has integrated teeth to remove dust and dander from the brush (vs using hands). Love it

Estoy muy contenta con mi compra, esta escoba me ha facilitado mucho el trabajo, es ligera, fácil de manejar, entra en cualquier rincón y arrastra muy bien la basura. No se le adhieren los pelos tanto como a mi antigua escoba que era más gruesa. El recogedor también es muy práctico, no se voltea, se aplana bien sobre el piso para poder recoger todo el polvo. La escoba se mete en el recogedor para guardarlos y ocupan muy poco espacio. Ambos artículos se ven de buena calidad y resistentes. Son caros, pero valen la pena.

Very dense broom and makes it easy to sweep. The pan is perfect with the silicone tip so that it collects everything you sweep up. And for hairs the bristles clear them without you having to pull. There are many look allies but I suggest you the original Oxo
