Global content marketing from someone who really knows what it's all about
As a Global Content Marketing Practitioner, I found Didner's book full of practiced wisdom. The way she breaks information down is very clear and easy to absorb. For those who are embarking on or employing global content marketing will find a lot of practical guidance, as well as a lot of affirmation of their directions from someone who has "been there and done that". Her content related information is very well integrated with a view of the larger organizations of which content functions are a part. This is key of course for anything global is going to be very cross-functional in nature. So cross-functional contexts are especially invaluable. For many people trying to lead content who may not have been as much in the trenches of corporations — e.g., people with more content focused backgrounds — her knowledge will help you approach the organization in a more structured way. And inversely for those with more organizational context who will benefit from seeing how content fits into the big picture of other organizational dynamics. Her writing is also crisply human and humorous. Her presence has a lot of authority but is also balanced with a lot of warmth and openness. A well-written and practical book!

Another excellent book for beginners and intermediate content marketers
My clients are physicians, hospitals, clinics, and others who are realizing that without content marketing, their website and social media rankings will plummet. Websites without content marketing are essentially static e-brochures, very likely to get punished severely by Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engine algorithms. This is a book I would recommend to my clients so that they can read it first and save the money from hiring me to read it to them in chunks. It prepares the content marketer to get more benefit and value from a coaching consultant, editor, web designer, or publicist. This book, in particular helps them to write or develop content for global effectiveness.

Pam does a great job to capture best practices and help the marketer
Such a hot topic for marketers today. Mastering content marketing can really accelerate your sales and business. Pam does a great job to capture best practices and help the marketer.Demand gen is all about content marketing. The best way to gather and nurture qualified leads through sales funnel is via content. Offer useful and educational content to targeted leads, when they need it. Didner understands the relationships between demand gen and content marketing. She also points out that demand gen is not the only way to measure the impact of content. She looks at the impact of content strategically as functions of growth, foresights and services. It makes me think how my demand gen content can be used and scaled to other groups within my company to further showcase the impact of content my team created.

This book can both be a textbook and be a job searching tool for us newbie global content marketers
As a college newly grad, I found this book very informative and helpful for understanding content marketing globally. Because we live in such a well-connected world, we should have a global perspective no matter work for a global firm or not; it’s always good and eye opening to see the whole global ecosystem. And this marketing book would be a great start. The book not only talked about the four new “P”s in the global content marketing (plan, produce, promote and perfect), but also talked about the skills needed for global content marketers. Therefore, this book can both be a textbook and be a job searching tool for us newbie global content marketers to better equip ourselves. Thanks for sharing your experience Pam!

Globally applicable principles--great read from a real insider
A taste of Pam's brilliance and sense of humor jumps off every page. I smiled my way through this intensely informative book. Some of my favorite short insights:-"Bear in mind a 'persona' is a compass, not a panacea."-"Embrace the messiness."-"Give more than an answer--give insight."-"There is no shortcut."Pam's book is the best I've read on the power discipline of content marketing. It showcases so many enlightening case studies it's a bit of a highlights tour inside the content marketing of LinkedIn, Intel, and more. If you are in the field, or interested in being an expert in the field, I am confident you'll enjoy this book as much as I do. Get it!

it provides a holistic view on how to utilize "content" intelligently as a marketing communications tool
As a web programmer, I found this book helpful. Web page design is about user experience. Content enables users to interact with brands or products via well-design web pages. Although this book is not about web design or programming, it provides a holistic view on how to utilize "content" intelligently as a marketing communications tool.Global content marketing is complicated, yet Didner was able to help me digest the concept with a simple framework of the 4 P's: Plan, Produce, Promote and Perfect. I have a better understanding on how my work fits into the overall content marketing landscape.
