I'm as cold as ice
Well built device that was a breeze to set up on phone app and Alexa control. I had trouble importing one when the americans released this so imagine the chill that ran down my spine when I saw this on Amazon. Really for smaller rooms but far better than a fan for lowering temperature. Sat directly in front of it I am like the cartoon character Chilly Willy. Just what global warming has in order. Chill out in an igloo!

Unreliable, poor performance. Not recommended.
Update of an update. First I said I couldn't get the app to connect at all. It wouldn't even log in to my account, never mind connect to the device, and was stuck on the dreaded whirling circle. However, there is a trick if you are struggling - turn the app on before turning the device on. Only after the app is running and logged in should you turn the cooler on.The first unit I received from my Amazon order was faulty to the point of being unusable. The touch screen was unresponsive and kept crashing out to the home screen randomly. Some buttons didn't work at all, especially the "up button". Connecting to the app was a distant dream. To be fair the support process was pretty easy, though they do insist on a copy of the invoice and a video of the problem which I felt was a bit unreasonable. I expect they get a lot of support requests due to the ropy product so this must help them keep on top of things. After I provided this they quickly decided to issue a replacement so that was good. The replacement was a little better but still considerable flawed. This time the "down" button was faulty, but it did connect to the app so I could get by. On the plus side I was able to rescue the filter from the old unit before I recycled it. They aren't cheap so that was handy.Note to other owners, you HAVE to put the unit on standby before you do a firmware update. They do mention this online, but not in the app or printed documentation. If you try to update when it is running, it will crash halfway through.Updating the firmware was well worth doing because before I updated mine it wouldn't reconnect to wi-fi after I unplugged it - I had to re-install the device every time. With the latest firmware it seemed reasonably reliable. Coming back in 2024 there have been no firmware updates since which is a shame - there is still room for improvement. Also, it won't connect to the latest broadband routers with a 5Ghz signal. It won't even work if the signal is "mixed" - two bandwidths using the same SSID. You have to use your routers admin tool to rename the 5GHz signal or deactivate it completely. As to how it performs as a cooler, the EverSmart is at best a "personal cooler". There is some benefit on a desk pushing cool(ish) air directly at you, but it has no lasting effect, even on full blast for a full day. The touch screen is truly awful and frustrating to use, which is an achievement since it only has 4 buttons. A standard fan or tower cooler would be much more effective. With all that in mind I overpaid for my Evasmart and the benefits were overstated. Even now I have it working again I'm afraid it does still deserve the 1 star review. It was never really an effective product and is only barely fit for purpose. Given the high price it is not acceptable. I would not purchase again.

Quiet cooling in a quality package.
The evoSmart does what I wanted - sends a stream of cold air without making a lot of noise. Is it as affective as an true air conditioner? Absolutely not, but it’s quiet enough that I don’t hear it over the general background hum of the city. The cost is high but with that comes features, build quality and top notch components (ie a fan that can actually run quietly and has continued to do so for several months).

Works but pricey
It does provide a cool stream of air but the fan is noisy to sleep with - a little bit pricey

Save your money
The evapolar is a expensive item which isn't fit for requirements it only reduced the temperature by a 4 degrees don't waste your money on this hyped up plastic piece of rubbish

Cooling effect is not substantial enough to warrant the cost of the unit in my opinion
Relatively expensive for what it does. Most of the time it barely cools the air so it's like using a low powered fan.It does cool the air in a small area and fits on to a bedside table so having cooled air blow over your face in the heat is actually very pleasant but their are much cheaper alternatives to this product.

Money well spent
It's a nifty little gadget, will be even better when I get the WiFi to work.
