Great Collection of BG Hits
I have always admired Stuart Adamson's lyrics and music and how after The Skids it all came together in the form of Big Country. This collection reflects all of the group's abilities from Adamson and Watson's vocal and guitar work to the excellent rythmn section of Brzezicki and Butler. All the hits are here including Thirteen Valleys and Just a Shadow which are missing from some other greatest hits collections, but fully deserve their inclusion.Anyone who likes Adamson and BG should make sure they have a copy of this CD in their collection then listen and remember the talent that was BG and maybe mourn the fact that with Adamson's death we lost many years of great music creation.

One of the best Best Of's ever
God, but I love this album with its great rousing anthemic rocking sound. Memorable track after memorable track with its unique bagpipe-ish guitar sound and great solos. Powerful singing, thoughtful lyrics. My vision of Heaven would be a Big Country concert with me in the audience punching my fist in the air which I never actually did. This is just brilliant distinctive stuff which I've loved since I first bought it over a decade ago and can't imagine ever stopping loving.

Big Country Big Sound
I always thought they were treated as a bit of a poor relation to Simple Minds and U2 . I thought their sound was completely distinctive and certainly the 'Scottishness' shone through . I lent this album to a Scottish Military colleaugue he liked it so much that he never gave it back ..... bloody Pikey ! Any way I'll buy it again and really enjoy listening again . I am very sorry about Stewart Adamson though a sad end to avery talented man
