Great device, great flexibility with the serial interface!
I love this product! I use Hulu Live TV with the unlimited screen option because I tend to use the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu suite quite a bit, so it's a better value for me than YouTube TV. But YouTube TV does have one feature Hulu lacks, multiscreen view for sports. However, even that doesn't solve the Thursday night problem where NFL is on Prime, so I was looking for a device where I could provide multiple inputs and show them on the screen at one time. For this purpose, 1080P was fine, and this device does it perfectly. But the remote doesn't cover the full functionality of this device, especially when it comes to switching which window is providing the audio at any given time, the remote only allows you to cycle through the inputs (you can't pick the 3rd input directly for audio, for instance). However, this capability did exist using commands sent over the serial port interface on the device. So I got OREI's serial cable and hooked up the device to an old linux laptop and played around with issuing commands. I very quickly evolved that into a fully functional iPhone web app interface (pic attached) and have it running on a very small Raspberry Pi zero connected full time to the device. I now have tremendous flexibility and functionality, where I can quickly switch modes, switch audio, and swap windows. Hopefully OREI offers a device in the future with wifi and app capability built in, it's a game changer! I will say I tried this model (supports up to 4K@30hz) and the next model up that supports 4K@60hz. The more expensive model did support the 4K@60hz resolution, but it didn't support Dolby Atmos, so since I would have to downgrade on the audio I decided it was okay to limit myself to 4 1080P devices and basic 5.1 sound. I didn't try the cheaper model that supports only 1080P because I was so satisfied with the capability to configure this model that I stuck with it.

Very functional 4k quad multiviewer with audio options.
I needed a 4K multiviewer to watch data channels and tracker data for F1 races. This box allows pretty much all combinations of screen outputs from 1,2,3 or 4 screens which is independent on each output. Picture quality is great with no noticeable difference or lag from direct display. Several people have commented on no HDR support and I can confirm this - the two YouTube stats for nerds images from my 4K max fire stick show BT709 with the multiviewer vs full BT2020 direct. However, with this limitation, and the poor quality remote, the unit itself is really very flexible and functional. I saw a comment about stretched images but you can select 16:9 to correct this (see example images in full or 16:9 modes). To switch which hdmi input is the main screen, you need to go into the menu opts for that output, but it can be done (see menu image). Audio can be muted or selected from any feed or each output. For the price, this is excellent and only the lack of HDR is missing. However, HDR units seem to be many hundreds of dollars more. I would recommend.

Great little simple switcher
I'm using this as a switcher for a video system in a church. There are cameras and computers feeding a switcher which goes to a splitter to several projectors and a display. With a simple switch the projectors can take many seconds to re-sync to the newly selected input. This device is a real switcher that synchronizes all the inputs to the one output so the projectors do not have to re-syncronize when the input changes. This part works beautifully well. The major problem is that when changing inputs it displays the input number and input display parameters for several seconds. There doesn't seem to be anyway to turn this off. It's really annoying. The other issue is that it doesn't come with anyway to rack mount it. We have a small rack that all the video equipment is mounted in. I had to make a shelf that fit in the rack and use the supplied "ears" to bolt it to the shelf. It really looks bad but it does work. One reason I chose this model is that it does have front panel buttons to select inputs (the volunteers running the equipment really hate having to track down a remote to control something), but pushing the buttons requires the box to be tied down. I REALLY, REALLY like the fact that this does not try and use some sort of "smart" algorithm to automatically choose what input to select, other devices I tried do this and they never do what we want. So in summary, the actual function is great, except for the on screen pop-ups that occur every time the input is changed, it is almost a deal breaker. Rack mount would be great but not essential.

Great device
So this review is probably a little premature, as I’ve only had it for a few days. But so far I absolutely love it. 2 years ago I bought a Metra multi viewer for more than double this price and it broke after 2 football seasons. Hopefully this one has better longevity. The Orei can maintain aspect ratio, which is a very important feature and to have it at this price is amazing. Only a few years ago a device like this cost thousands. The way you can select which input you want in each section of the screen is super easy to do, and picture quality looks great. It’s unfortunate that sound is only stereo, probably the biggest drawback but I don’t care about surround sound for sports. If you want to keep the aspect ratio you have to hold the “mode” button for about 5 seconds on the actual unit (not the remote). It defaults to screen fill if you don’t do that. I’ll update this if anything changes but I recommend this as a great multi viewer.

Sundays Will Never Be the Same
Before this product, I contemplated getting four televisions and doing quad viewing that way. But the lines of the television frames would have drove me insane. This product is awesome. I really love. I use it on a hundred-inch television and it is awesome. I run an antenna, 2 Firestick and a PlayStation on it. I did not go cheap on the USB cable that run from the unit to the television. I wanted the best possible picture. You will also need to run a 3.5mm audio cable from the unit to the television if you would like sound. It is really nice that you can pick the configuration of the 4 inputs and select the one that you want the sound from (if you have the audio cable hooked up). I have to admit, I was a bit nervous at first, but this unit exceeded my expectations. I can now watch up to 4 games at once and not have to see lines separating the televisions. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it. I may do another television in my home with this unit.

Just what I needed though picture quality drops
Exactly what I needed. I bought this because I grew very tired of playing Minecraft with my son,now he can play Minecraft and I can play whatever my heart desires in our game. You will need at least 3 HDMI cables, two for your devices of choice and one for your tv. The picture quality drops to 1080P when using this device, still looks good to me but buyer beware. While this does make sense, you do have to choose which of the split actions gets the audio. You won't be able to listen to all four gaming consoles in my case. Oh and this just applies to my snes but it is the only console connected that does not work properly when using it in a split screen of two
