Worked well
It's not the best quality, the drill pit that came with the adapter was all wonky and off center, but I was able to substitute my own drill bit and it worked much better after that. I cut a hole for a dryer vent through: a layer of cedar shakes, a layer of clapboard siding,a layer of old growth pine, and several layers of stuff like tar paper and also plaster and lath. The saw was still sharp and I tried to cut a second hole for another project but hit a nail and that was the end of that blade. I used another blade to cut a hole for a pipe, it was great having so many sizes to choose from that so I could cut a hole through my floorboards that was very close to the width of my pipe. I think I have already more than gotten my money's worth.

okay
bought these because i needed to make a few holes in my new entertainment center for wires in back. you get what you pay for with regards to the quality but but the price they are okay. they got the job done. they aren't very strong and i wouldn't use them on anything visible as they are a bit wobbly so don't make a perfectly even circle. got this whole set for the price of one quality hole saw.

Great for earth buckets.
I ordered this to drill a 3" hole in 5 gallon buckets to grow vegetables in. I did not want to invest in a heavy duty 3" hole saw since I am only going to use it to drill a hole in the bottom of plastic buckets. I saw this on Amazon and thought it would be adequate. I only use the 3" one but I got a whole set for about half the price of the individual heavy duty one. It works great if you use a wrench to tighten the assembly. (The first time I used it, I tightened it by hand and it came loose before I finished the second hole) . So far, I drilled 18 buckets and it does a great job. The 3" size is perfect for the Hydrofarm round net pots, 3". My daughter who talked me out of 3 earth buckets is now thinking of getting a set of these for herself. She is now growing tomatoes and cucumbers in earth buckets on the porch of her apartment.

GARBAGE, JUNK, PAPER WEIGHT, Don't waste your money. Seriously.
If I could give negative stars I would for this item. Dont get me wrong its dirt cheap. However, that being said IF a Seller sells an item that is supposed to be a hole saw bit it should at least cut a round hole right??? Almost all of these bits could not even come close to cutting a round hole because many were warped in production and the teeth were not uniform enough to resemble anything of a hole saw. In general a total waste of money. I'm going to try and return this set of useless bits.Unfortunately there isn't a single item that is usable or else I'd probably keep it. Yes they are cheap and I thought the bits would at least be straight since I only needed to cut into some thin plastic. WRONG!!!!! Like I said they are completely useless for cutting holes. They should have been sold as paper weights or some fancy art sculpting garbage. I have never seen such poorly made chinese junk. And I have bought a ton of stuff made in china. I could probably make a better hole saw bit just by eyeballing it and making it out of aluminum wrap. These things are CRAP.

OK and not OK
Most of the basic design was pretty good, far ahead of some inexpensive hole saws I had many years ago. And maybe you should not expect too much from an inexpensive tool. The saws themselves seemed of good steel and held out. But the center drill was a mess. The hole for it was 0.250" but the drill in it was 0.225", so it was out of round and wobbled. The set screw for the drill was way too cheap. When I tightened it with the Allen wrench, the wrench just twisted around and stopped turning anything. I got out a new Allen wrench of the same size. It did a little better, but the screw itself was just no good. It would not cost much more to put in a larger set screw of the right size, with a good Allen wrench. The drill that came with it did have a flat spot on it, which showed someone tried, but it was not carried out well. Using the 4 inch cutter, with a setup, I cut through about 40 pieces of 1/2" plywood. It got hot but did well, still sharp. The 6 inch wobbled some.

Depends What You're Going To Use It For.
Before buying this kit I was leery because of the low amount of stars and several bad reviews. However, I was buying this kit for hydroponics and hence drilling into plastic and not wood or metal. I can tell you that if you're not drilling into hard materials this hole saw kit is a fantastic investment and value. However, I can definitely see how many people complain about the quality for drilling harder things as I wouldn't personally trust it with wood and definitely not metal. Overall it just depends what you're gonna use it for, but set your expectations accordingly depending on what you're going to be using them for.Though I will mention, even when drilling through plastic the saw does sometimes try to come apart (never enough to have an accident but it gets slightly loose) so that may be another thing you want to keep in mind, however, again, take into account the price of the item, you can't expect excellent quality.

Rounded out the hole, and not the one you wanted
Started working. Then had to switch from cordless to corded. Soon enough, both the plate and hole saw were completely rounded out rendering it useless. The piece that goes into the drill Chuck also lost it’s flat sides and rounded. To top it off, the small Allen screw that holds the starter bit stripped. Not sure what actually held up? Nothing. Would not recommend unless you plan and attempting to cut one large hole and one small hole and then throw in the garbage. Embarrassing product.

Perfect for making my hydroponic tote
This is the first set of hole saw bits I ever owned. So, cannot be compared with others. This is perfect to cut hole in plastic tote. I think the quality is excellent. It does what it is supposed to do.Update Oct 2014:I have using this for over a year, it is still working fine.It is strong enough to cut hole on the lid of this plastic tote:Lowes.com: Centrex Plastics, LLC Rugged Tote 10-Gallon Tote with Standard Snap LidItem #: 332449 | Model #: 332449But not strong enough to cut hole on the lid of this plastic tote:Lowes.com: Centrex Plastics, LLC Commander 27-Gallon Tote with Standard Snap LidItem #: 44066 | Model #: 44066
