It's been a huge journey trying to find a toothbrush that fits my cat's small mouth comfortably. The finger toothbrushes are never a fan of his as they're huge and can't reach his back teeth without making him completely open his jaw. I love the extreme ease of use, I can't say anything about the flavor of the toothpaste but it smells gross, just like pet toothpaste usually does. My cat loves it though!

Everything arrived nicely packaged. The toothpaste looks like it'll last for a long time, and I'm glad it came with both a regular toothbrush and a finger brush. It will take some practice for your cat to get used to getting their teeth brushed, but it seems like my cat likes the flavor of the toothpaste. The toothbrush bristles are soft and a good size for my cat's teeth and gums. Overall, would purchase again.

Cat accepts teeth being brushed when being held. I wish it came with more flavor options. In the package it looks a little funky with the fingertip brush being packed on top of the regular toothbrush but it is just a packaging thing. The finger brush and the handled toothbrush are indeed separate from each other. The toothpaste doesn't have an overpowering smell but as I mentioned wish there was a different flavor option.

Pros- it's toothpaste and does what it's intended to do - it smells like mint which is nice for the humans -it stays on the toothbrush long enough to do the job as long as you apply it to the brush and tap it with your finger once -it comes as a kit so you supposedly have everything you need (toothbrush, fingerbrush, toothpaste) Cons -Cats don't like the flavor -Cats don't like the mint scent either -Finger brush doesn't stay on skinny, narrow fingers -Finger brush is too big for cats' mouths -Toothbrush is too big for my smaller cat's mouth (I ended up buying a different toothbrush altogether) I gave it three stars for convenience because if you're really in a pinch, like I was, you can just buy the kit as a starting point to figure out what works for YOU and your CAT and go from there. But if you have a small cat, get a smaller toothbrush, and I think there is probably definitely a better tasting toothpaste out there. Even just a meat flavored gel for cats used with the toothbrush scrubbing action would probably be more helpful than a toothpaste that a cat loathes, resulting in no tooth brushing.

I don't want to trash Arm & Hammer, they make great products... for humans. Maybe not so much for cats. I tried this twice on my cat. The first time he freaked out worse than I've ever seen him. Frothing at the mouth, spitting saliva, snapping his mouth. This managed to turn my ultra-calm and patient cat into a scared and upset beast. I tried again the next day, this time just putting some on the toothbrush and having him smell it. Same reaction. I had used another brand of toothpaste (malt flavored) for him for years now and he doesn't mind it at all. I can brush all his teeth and he even licks the brush afterward. But he had such a disgusted, visceral reaction. I was concerned it was an allergic reaction, but after reading the reviews this seems to be a common reaction from most cats. Even the 5-star reviews mention how much the cat hates it (but it works!). Please, don't torture your pets friends. I can't recommend this product. Buy something else. Even if it works at presenting dental disease and getting your feline's teeth cleaned you're putting them through way more trauma than they deserve. I threw away the entire tube after two attempted uses and won't be purchasing again.

The first time I stuck the brush in my cat's mouth, I thought he was going to eat me alive (hint: trim their claws before brushing teeth). 13 stitches later, I tried it again and he gave in and took it like his spirit had been broken. And don't even bother trying to use the finger-thimble thing...way too big for most cat's mouths...unless they have a head the size of a cantaloupe, then it might fit. The good: fresh breath and clean teeth, and now he doesn't fight me anymore. The bad: 13 stitches gained and a quart of blood lost. The ugly: just kidding about the stitches and blood, I did get clawed but once he tasted it there was no more fight, he seems to like it.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you if the product works or not because my cats did not like the taste of it at all. My cats both clenched their teeth when I attempted to brush them and I left the toothpaste out on a dish so they could become interested in it - they weren’t interested. I ended up giving it to a local “buy nothing” group. I’ve seen other people post that they are giving away the product since because it did not work for their cat. I have no idea if it’s the original one I donated or if they were also unlucky enough to buy the item and it didn’t work.

Good product. Tiny headed toothbrush helps when trying to clean my cat's teeth. Paste foams in the mouth helping to sweeten breath. Can't say she enjoys having her teeth cleaned but needs must.
