9470 upgrade - so far so good
I'm a longtime GN Netcom user, and for several years, have been using the Jabra Pro 9470.In reading the reviews on the Engage, I was a bit nervous about the upgrade. But I wanted a headset for my home office, so I took the 9470 home and got the Engage for my main office. So far I'm really happy with it. It's MUCH better at handling my office phone and my cell phone at the same time. That feature still needs a bit of love - it currently defaults to making calls from the last connected device. I would prefer to have it default to making calls on my office phone. Still, I appreciate the fact that it's easy to answer whichever phone is ringing. Aside from that, the actual device is a really nice upgrade. I love that there is a built-in status light. So people can see that I'm talking when they walk into my room. The call quality remains unchanged (these are really the gold standard for headsets). The range seems unchanged from the 9470. The controls are the most welcomed change. The answer/hang-up button is easy and intuitive, and the mute button inspires confidence (something that didn't happen on the old version) I read reviews about comfort being an issue. But that didn't seem to impact me. It feels a bit different at first, but you quickly get used to it, and I find myself forgetting it's on - which to me is a sign that it's comfortable enough. Anyway, it might not be worth the quick upgrade. But if you have the need, it's still the best. Oh and for those that have never used a headset, and are wondering if this is worth the money - the answer is yes. People cannot tell that you're on a headset. But more than that, you aren't tethered to your desk phone. You have the freedom to multitask, even outside of your workspace. Depending on your desk phone, you can even answer it remotely. You may look a bit geeky. But for that minor inconvenience, you get ergonomics and freedom.

Comfy, functional, easy to use-- a winner!
I've seen some mixed reviews for this, and also noted that reviews here may pertain to the Jabra Engage 65, 75, or 85. I am reviewing the 75 with mono headset. It's a terrific product, "A+" for me. It does everything that I need: comfortable to wear, connects to my three devices (PC + 2 phones) at the same time and accommodates them properly, and has a functional touch-screen display that shows the connection status, battery status, and has on-screen buttons for dialing and hanging up. The headset itself has a great mute button, volume buttons, and call/end buttons that work well and are easy to use and find. I previously used similar products from Sennheiser and Plantronics and found this Jabra to be head-and-shoulders above the others. The Plantronics version has a heavier headset, a worse display, and stopped working with my PC after a while. For the most part, Jabra really got it right with this product's usability. This unit does not even need a power button, so that's one less button to manage. The sound quality for voice is excellent. If you plan to use a PC softphone, check the manual to see which products may be especially compatible. For PC usage, it's probably best, too, if you run the Jabra Direct PC desktop software, which is freely downloadable from the Jabra Web site. It helps keep everything in sync, can update the firmware, and manage settings on the headset and base.

Poor product... Very dissapointed
I have been using Jabra products for years and have come to expect greate performance. At first the features on this headset sound awesome... Pairing to multiple devices including USB phones and multiple bluetooth devices. But so far I've tried three of these and had horrible sound problems (mic fading out, noise). Jabra has some huge issues to work out with these.

Perfect for my home office
It works well by connecting to the desk phone, the computer (Zoom/Google Meet), the microphone for making videos, and my iPhone.- Once you get used to switching it to the desk phone for outbound calls, while inbound, one-click and it answers via the iPhone (inbound calls are routed to the desk phone, softphone, and iPhone simultaneously). This is a workaround to facilitate the one-click for answering calls, so whilst roaming around the house can pick up calls.- The range is solid, having clear reception throughout the townhouse and out the front when collecting the mail.- Battery life is solid, as I have it on for some 8-10 hours each day taking calls, and listening to podcasts.- Surprisingly very lightweight and comfortable to wear all day.- Considering buying the dual version just to listen to podcasts, YouTube, and music.
