I recently became acquainted with Joyce Meyer through her teachings in books, online and on television. I was particularly impressed with this book because it explores confidence from a biblical standpoint and explains why it is so crucial to develop a sense of confidence. It's actually a Godly trait and one that we need to assume to fully live the life that Christ died to give us.I also love Joyce's use of humor to drive home her points, making it more palatable and enabling us to more easily put into action her teachings. I enjoyed this book so much I reread it, underlining passages and points and making margin notes before lending it to a friend. I plan to always use this book to help encourage me to stay strong and to remind me how much I am loved, and to show my gratitude by accepting that love and by being willing to love myself as I believe God intended us to. I would strongly encourage any woman, young or old, who is looking for solid scriptural ways to increase confidence and feel better about herself, to take a look at what Joyce has to say regarding confidence. It hadn't been written yet, but I wish I could have read this book years ago as I was entering womanhood. I believe The Confident Woman will be an invaluable tool to help young women step into this time of life with a boldness that will help her attain the purpose that God has for her life.

Purchased a used option, and it came looking as if it had never been touched before. It is in great condition and shipping didn't take that long either. Used for a book club, varying opinions but most really enjoyed the book. Meyer gives lots of examples which makes it easy to apply to your own life. Recommend it if you are looking for a good book to help see why the world needs more confident women like you!

I love this book! Joyce Meyer writes like she is talking to you face to face and this book is no different. I tend to read a few books at a time-not finishing any-lol. I intend to work on that this year and this book is written so that you can read as much as you want from 1 page to a few pages or more and be able to pick right up where you left off very easily. I was so happy that I was able to find this book very inexpensive here on Amazon :)

Not much to say other than I've bought tons of books from Amazon. I even buy many of my son's college text books here. I trust the Amazon reputation and all my buying experiences are positive. The products are always as advertised -- especially the used book descriptions . The option to purchase new or used is awesome. The most appealing thing is the crazy prices .... where can you buy books for $.01???A great faith-based, self-help book written by a straight shooter..... What's not to like. I gave this book 5 star rating because as the tie states so does the book read. I have learned so much from myself, what God says about me, and the word. I love the way Joyce shared in her book the history of other powerful women and the examples of how confidence can help us reach what we think in our minds is unreachable.

Bought this for my wife but she already had a copy and she gave her neighbor it. Low and behold she converted to Christianity and she said it save her from her intention to commit suicide (No joke). Wow all this in less than a month I wonder whats in this book .I am not very religious person but i believe i have to buy another book to check out who this Joyce Meyer is HHHMMM.

Excellent book that should be read by every woman, not just those with self-esteem issues. It is not age-specific, but for all women of all ages. I will go back to this one again and again, and did a lot of highlighting! I am going to be ordering the companion devotional. Joyce Meyer is encouraging and I never got the feeling I had to be a new woman immediately, but could work on issues at my own (and God's) pace. I feel hopeful now, and have some firm goals.

Great for a book club! Did it with a group of church friends! Definitely some valuable lessons.

This is another of Joyce Meyer's practical advice books, based on scripture and her own life experiences. I found it thought provoking and easy to read. I felt as if Joyce was right there talking to me. Well worth reading if you lack confidence and are often fearful, and even if you are not. It is a very encouraging and inspirational read.

Joyce Meyer is such a sensible woman and she combines this sense with the bible teachings of God. She shows you how you can overcome your problems. Not easy but achievable. It cements your faith with Our Lord at the same time. Glad I brought it.

Received a day late. Now to get round to reading all my Joyce Meyer books. The ones I have read have really helped me. She is definitely worth while a read.

I loved reading his book. I definitely feel confident and have a new lease of life. Joyce Meyer is an amazing woman of God. I would definitely recommend.
