Can be fitted on the inside of the loft or the outside of the eaves
Great value for money. I first fitted mine on the inside of the loft due to a problem with starlings entering the loft. I cut them to 55cm and screwed them to pieces of 55 x 3 cm thick timber and pushed them tight into the space between the joists. They jammed into place tightly with the comb tips bending over and sealing the gap. I could not screw them in place because I could not get my body into the tight angled gap between the loft floor and the roof tiles. A few months later I decided to rent a scaffold tower and installed them on the outside of the eaves because I saw starlings entering the small space between the eaves entrance and the entrance to the loft which I had already blocked off as described above. To fit them on the outside was quite physical erecting the scaffold tower on my own, but once done I found the best procedure was to unclip the plastic guttering from the guttering brackets which then enabled me to easily and quickly screw them in place. Where there are pre-drilled slot holes in the product but where necessary I found it quite easy to screw straight through the plastic combs with my battery drill screwdriver without pre-drilling. Also when I needed to cut the combs I did not use a saw, insteade I used my tin snip cutters which chopped straight through them. I carried on and circumnavigated the full roof eaves on my detached house. Working with the combs was easy but taking the 6m scaffold tower up and down for each side of the house alone was very physical. The combs should last a long time and I am not expecting any starlings to be able to get in this year 2026. They will try though because they have been coming for years to mine and my nieghbour's house. One late spring day in 2025 I saw around 50 young starlings all trying to get into my bird bath.

Great product and cheaper than Screwfix
Made of soft pliable plastic. Used this product to apply to the top of a newly erected pergola to prevent perching pigeons.
