Cheap, simple, and works
The media could not be loaded. I have a dog that wants to eat our cat so keeping them separate is a must. This door has made my life so much easier. It closes every time. Lift the door hinge pin and bend the closer the opposite way. It takes effort so it doesn’t snap back but I am a determined petite woman, and did it. I bought it in combination with the magnetic WINONLY Door Stopper which we use to keep the same door open when the cat is safe in the basement. The closer end does dig into the door so if you cover the black plastic with something soft or electrical tape that would help. I also WD 40 it occasionally to minimize noise. It seems quieter than other plastic closer videos I saw on Amazon though. Simple metal mechanism that works. Emphasis on metal. It’s been installed for over a year.

Works as intended
Got 3 of these and they work well on my bedroom door, also got one on a heavier house entrance door and it still closes well. Read some reviews saying theirs broke after a few months of use, it’s been a good while since I bought them and they haven’t broken. The bad is it was really difficult to install, though I don’t know if I can fault the manufacturer as that’s just how they are, how could they make it any easier? Second is if you don’t put something in between it and where it touches to protect your door/wall, it’ll rub off the paint over time. A small piece of cardboard should do the trick

Gets the job done for $8
This is a neat and simple solution. My only critique is that the spring could be under less tension as it has a tendency to slam the door. Also because of the high tension of the spring the metal will immediately start to dig into the door and the wall/frame, so I recommended putting something under the arms of the spring to pad it. I used felt pads I had lying around. It will be a bit creaky at first but some oil on the spring will make it nice and quiet. Even some pam from your kitchen will do. All in all a good product, but the high tension makes it a little less desirable
