Heats the water and prevents evaporation
Have the clear 14-mil version. A month in, and I've been pretty happy. Installed in April, and within a week, the water temperature had risen 10 degrees, in SoCal (from 70 to 80). We do get lots of sun, and this was the first time we had ever swum in April in our pool. After another 70-degree week in May, we're up to 87. Without the cover, we certainly wouldn't have gained more than 5 degrees in the same span - we'd always loose a lot of heat in the cool nights. We have a kidney shaped pool, and it was fairly easy to stretch across the pool, draw the edge with a sharpie, and cut to size with scissors. I've left a few inches extra on all sides so that it wraps up the edge of the pool tiles, and leaves some flexibility when aligned it back to fit each time. Never have had trouble with wind blowing it away. But if you leave the edges long and curled up, rain water collects on top rather than flowing into the pool.Removal is a little tricky, but it can be rolled long-ways, and then rolled again into a manageable cylinder. It's not heavy to lift. It feels very sturdy, dragging it along our concrete. After some practice, typically 5-7 minutes to remove and reinstall, just 1 person. 2 people certainly make it simpler. A rectangular pool would also be easier. The warmth is nice, and we also haven't had any evaporation - so no pool refilling yet. I almost think it'll be too good: I don't want the water 90 degrees, but I do want to avoid evaporation in the summer.

GOOD QUALITY, CLEAR, EASY TO FIT TO POOL
We ordered the clear so we could see what was going on in the water below. It was easy to cut it to size; I layed it on across the peanut-shaped pool, marked the edges of the pool with a blue non-toxic felt-tip marker, then cut with scissors. Had to trim up a few places that were not laying flat on the water, but it was very easy to shape it to the pool. Our only problem was that when removing it, it gets dirty water on top and is very heavy. So this spring we decided to cut it in half to make it easier to handle. It works well and husband and I can each take a side and walk it to the end. You get some leaves falling through where we cut it but they are easy to scoop out.It does a good job of warming the pool but we have trees so lots of leaves landed on top and made a mess during the fall. Our pool man said it would not help in the winter and would not let the skimmer do it's job of sucking in the leaves, so we removed it to make it easier to clean the pool. When spring arrived we put it back on and it brought our pool up to 85 degrees in a few days of warm 90 degree weather. The air temps cooled back down to normal but the pool remained fairly warm, around 78 degrees but too cold to swim for me.We are happy with it and it seems quite heavy duty compared to the blue covers we saw at the pool stores for quite a bit more money. To store it, we fold it in 2 halves and place in the center of a large brown tarp, cover it with the tarp and weight it down to keep it out of the sun. We expect it will last a few seasons in the AZ heat if we keep it covered , but you never know.

Hey it work. and works well
Accidentally bought size too small. But it still does its job. I had the cover on and off for 2 weeks and water got really warm. over 10 degrees warmer than without cover. It's not one day 10 degrees but slowly getting warmer daily. Unfortunately, I did not buy a reel with this and did not fully understand the risk. Without a reel (which takes 15 seconds to roll up the cover) I was dragging the cover left and right and just piling it messily at one end of the pool. Took a lot of energy so I left it on for 10 days (MISTAKE 1). During that 10 days, it rained for 2 days (MISTAKE 2). What I found out is that with cover on, water cannot circulate well. With bits of water on top of the cover, chlorine does not get mixed so algae grows. With rain, there are more rain that is not chlorinated. So 10 days with cover on and rain, water temperature went from 70's to 80's with green algae.Lesson, solar blanket works. And get a reel. And make sure to uncover it regularly during the daytime.UPDATEI have pushed it use it 3 seasons with leaving it rolled up on the reel during winter time. 2 years, I just left it on the reel out by the pool without any protection and 1 year, I actually put them under a patio for protection from weathering. By 2nd year, some of the bubbles were falling off, but I just collected them with the net. By 3rd year, more bubbles were falling off and there was some wear and tear, especially around the seam toward the end of the reel where it got most sun exposure. Year that I put the blanket away, I eventually got around to it in November. I believe if I was diligent in putting the reel away after swim season, it may have lasted bit longer.Overall, it cost around $140 for 3 seasons of warm swimming pool in Southern California. If I leave the blanket on for couple days, the temperature goes up close to 90. I still recommend a blanket, but for Southern California, maybe 12-mil is what you need where as for bit cooler region, get something bit thinner. I got 12 mil replacement and wrote a review. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CEJ1AD0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great solar cover
Quality thick materials, easy to cut, easy to maneuver around a 30x14 inground pool. It did a great job with keeping my chemical and water levels. Don't recommend using it year round. It collects leaf debris and water quickly, and cleaning it is a chore. But from March to Sept its great.

Cut it into 3 pieces to make taking it off and on easy and fit our pool
Well worth the money. I was very apprehensive about getting this as my pool is oddly shaped. Cut it into 3 pieces to make taking it off and on easy and fit our pool. Takes less the 5 min to put on and off. It does a great job at keeping the heat in the pool. On cool nights only drops one degree. used to drop over 5 degrees and will heat back up if sunny day. Also much, much less evaporation. So I am glad that I went for the 14 mil and not the 12 mil as is way more durable than I thought. I think if you are thinking about this pay the extra and get the 14 mil instead. I don't have a roller for it and don't need it. My pool is 36 by 18 ft so is large but it is so easy to take this on and off. But not using a roller then cut into smaller pieces. I used Duct tape to mark each piece so easy to know which piece goes where.

Looks great!
Was delivered today, taken out of the box and straight on the pool. Quality is pretty good, better than our last which is galling apart. The seams are good and tight.

Time will tell
Quite stiff as a solar blanket. Let's hope it means a long life. Bought a different unit last year that had a limited 3 year guarantee. It totaly disintegrated after 3 months in the pool this summer. Would have cost more to send for a replacement than the blanket was worth so I bought this unit. Let's see if it's still around next summer. Looks great up to now.

Good Quality & Value - Thick & Strong
Quality looks to be very good. Thick strong plastic with bubbles on one side and the other side flat. Good that it is Canadian made! Price excellent for the quality - better than others that I studied online and in-store. It arrived very quickly and was wrapped well in a 18 x 48 inch roll. It was easy to trim to size with heavy scissors.
