MARATHONMARATHON WW194004 Quartz Black General Purpose Watch

I am night blind and cannot see normal watch illumination at night, which fades as time passes anyway. The tritium is clear and the watch is accurate. The only down side is the cheesy band. I am taking the watch to a jeweler today to get a better band installed as the pins it came with are not user removeable unless one has a proper punch and very steady hands. I also expect a sapphire crystal in any watch I would invest in.

I love this watch but it wears very small.I ended up sending this back with no issues.

I was looking for a nice, affordable tritium watch and this Marathon was the perfect choice. It has a simple, timelessly classic design that makes it a perfect everyday watch. It glows beautifully in the dark, easily readable with tritium on all hands and all numbers. Just an absolute joy, and far less expensive than other comparable tritium brands. A Luminox watch with these features goes for about twice the price.

General use, before these watches Were available to the general public I had purchased one of these and noticed the bezel had fractured around the inside sides of the watch. no scratches nothing. i was warrantied another and the same thing, how could this had happened when the watch looks absolutely perfect, I returned another and I could tell the rep was getting frustrated. And warrantied another and the same thing. No scratches, dings but the glass, or plastic was fractured. I sent the second watch back and got a refund.I really liked the watch but just wasn’t durable for regular wear around use. I don’t know how this watch met mil spec requirements for a field watch, perhaps I was just sold blems?I would like another but how much they are charging these days vs a few years ago.

The watch is small and lightweight. The tritium vials in the hands and dial make it readable in total darkness.. There are numerous band options but the basic black works for me. If knowing what time it is down to the second is important this serves the purpose. I compare the time with an atomic clock (radio signal reference) as well as the GPS master clock systems at the television station where I worked and after a couple of weeks they are still in step.

At first thought the watch was small however after wearing it that was not the case. Very easy to read nite or day. Keeps excellent time.

Nice looking watch.

I have a watch from another company with tritium, and the Marathon tritium tubes are much brighter. I love the easy to read military style field watch. The WW194004-STE is small but still easy to read.

The tritium lume is amazing, it's legible from dusk til dawn. Case is lightweight. Strap feels too small at 16mm even on a slim wrist. At the end of the day you're getting saphire crystal swiss made with stellar legibility. I'm happy.
