The last two orders came with the plastic bag inside leaking and the time frame to return the big's was passed. We'd to threw away mostly two big of oil.

We've been using LouAna coconut oil for over 25 years for everything.We stopped using any kind of vegetable or seed oil.We love fried food and I have been trying to cook as healthy as I can, this helps.Popcorn is a favorite snack and now, since we garnered a deep fryer, we are in charge of bringing some of the snacks for our game night at our down the road neighbors. (Yes, you CAN deep fry popcorn! )The taste is wonderful, real theater popcorn flavor.We also like making homemade potato chips using our mandolin to cut them super thin.All food fried in it, tastes great.The oil is a challenge to get repackaged but if you use a lot of oil, it is totally worth it. We put it up on a chair next to our wood stove when the weather was still chilly and we were able to pump it out.I like to keep it in the extra fridge in gallon baggies and old small plastic containers that make it easy to scoop out for smaller amounts.We have been enjoying this brand of oil for a long time and will continue to buy it when this runs out.Great oil, good price.

This case of oil is designed for heated oil pumps for popcorn making, but there of course other ways to jailbreak the oil. The coconut oil has a nice aroma and it gives popcorn the buttery but light flavor. It does solidify as storage temperature lowers though, and so warming is pretty much always a necessity.

As to be expected, this solidifies at lower temps. It made it next to impossible to get it out of the box, since I couldn't use the spigot. I'm thinking that I'll wait until it warms up enough for it to melt (at present even when it was 70 it remained solid). Once it's melted, I'll transfer it into my other storage containers and give it a try. I trust the brand, so I'm pre-rating it, but once I try it out I'll revise the score. For now, this is purely a warning that it solidifies in colder temps.

This product has a lot of coconut oil, which is absolutely wonderful. The coconut oil is also high quality, and pops popcorn beautifully. The only issue is handling the product. It solidifies, which means it is impossible to use the included spout. We had to split the bag open, scoop out the oil, melt it, and then put it into mason jars. The whole process took about three hours.

This oil is so great for popcorn but you can use it for other foods as well. The added beta carotene in it doesn’t change the flavor what so ever but it does give it a lovely buttery appearance. The popcorn made with this oil is so fluffy and delicious it just can’t be beat. The value of getting this in bulk is wonderful. Its lasted a good long time!

LouAna Premium Colored Coconut Popping Oil makes the absolute best tasting popcorn, hands down!The box arrived as one solid mass of coconut oil and the spout was nowhere to be found so I cut open the box, scooped out all the oil from the bag, and vacuum sealed the oil in gallon packs. It was actually insane how much 35lbs of colored coconut oil really is. But I am glad I did that as the oil is much more manageable and will keep better vacuum sealed. Now all I do is pop a bag in some hot water and pour it into a bottle for use.If you make any amount of popcorn, you must try this stuff it's a game changer and you will thank yourself you did.
