Leather provides an excellent feel.
I once used the cushioned, extra absorbing grips that were usually rubber. I found that I lacked the control to put shots exactly where I wanted them, which was close to the baseline. I switched to leather. I use an overgrip anyway which gives me what I need to control sweat and keep dry enough for adequate grip. The extra absorbing rubber grip with the overgrip was just too much of a "squishy" feel. I used to always use a leather grip in the days of the wood racquets because they came with them. Nowadays the racquets don't usually come stock with a leather grip. I take off the grips they come with and replace with sturdy strong leather to wrap that baby tight for a good foundation for an overgrip to accommodate. I have since stopped wondering about string and racquet types and tensions, and learned to use the uniqueness of each racquet for it's strengths. It's hard to believe that the grips is so important, but I found it truly is.

Why is the packaging and color so different than advertised
Not as advertised. Color was much lighter and brighter than pictured (almost orange) and did not match well on my application. It also came undone several times.

Bad racquet grip
This leather grip came with my new K Blade tour racquet. After playing couple of hours for 2 days, the skin of my palm was injured with this grip, this is because is leather is very soft but not tacky. It feels good in the hand when you hold it but totally uncomfortable when really playing. Does not absorb sweat and it's when the racquet starts to flip under heavy shots.Replaced it with my favourite Wilson K Control grip.Simply, Avoid.

Great grip, as long as you use an overgrip ...
Great grip, as long as you use an overgrip over it. Great feel through the grip.If you use this without overgrip, you probably won't like it much. Unless you got tough hands.
