The movie is a day in the life of Samantha, whose 16th birthday is turning out to be anything but sweet. Sixteen Candles marked the directing debut of John Hughes, and its goofy energy displayed a promising talent with a great ear for high school lingo ... a promise neglected since Hughes became, after Home Alone, a one-man entertainment industry. There are some pretty crass moments (Why the stereotype of the foreign-exchange student from Asia?), but Ringwald's steady appeal smoothes over the rough spots. what better for a girls night in than an old school boxset. my sister has never saw these movies and it was good watching it with her for the first time. the old classics are the best

Bought for my neice who cannot believe I had heard of or ever watched these films (I was never young!!) she enjoyed them and they are youth classics I think. Well worth the money

Cult adolescenziali in un bellissimo box
Un totale di 5 dvd (Breakfast Club è l'edizione speciale 2 dvd), 1 dvd solo per i contenuti speciali di Sixteen Candles e Weird Science. Personalmente soddisfattissimo dell'acquisto, sono film che hanno segnato un epoca e, soprattutto Breakfast Club, la mia vita. Edizioni molto ben curate, ricche di contenuti speciali tutti da godere, comparti audio e video assolutamente dignitosi. Due titoli su tre fuori catalogo in Italia, tutti e tre conservano la traccia audio italiana. Per me, da prendere al volo!

Delusione parziale
Guardando "Un compleanno da ricordare" ho realizzato che hanno tagliato delle scene. Ho visto anche "Una donna esplosiva" ma sinceramente non ricordo se anche qui hanno effettuato dei tagli. Delusione perché speravo in una versione integrale e non tagliata. Sono comunque felice di averlo trovato con l'audio in Italiano.

Una chica explosiva viene con un disco, 16 velas y el club de los 5 con 2 discos. La edición esta muy cuidada, una caja cubre otra interior que se despliega para ver los discos y en ella podremos ver imágenes de las películas.Muy recomendable. Eine wunderbare Box mit drei der besten Filme von John Hughes, ein Muss für jeden Fan von Molly Ringwald und Co. Man fühlt sich direkt um 25 Jahre zurückversetzt in die späten 80er.Die Box beinhaltet neben den 3 Filmen noch 2 DVDs mit Zusatzmaterial, vieles davon ist jedoch verzichtbar, John Hughes selbst taucht nicht auf, was bei so einer Box eigentlich wünschenswert wäre, immerhin war er mit seinen Filmen stilprägend für eine ganze Generation.Die 3 Filme verfügen über eine deutsche Tonspur, was aus der Artikelbeschreibung nicht deutlich hervorgeht.5 Sterne für die Filme, 3 für das Bonusmaterial, insgesamt eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Cofanetto John Hughes
Il cofanetto che mi è stato recapitato è composto da una confezione in cartone che contiene 4 amaray: tre sono dedicati ai i film e uno contiene il dvd extra di Weird science/Sixteen Candles. L'edizione di The breakfast club è quella a 2 dvd (film + extras) che credo non sia mai uscita sul mercato italiano, dunque si tratta di 5 dvd in tutto.Attualmente gran parte dei film di John Hughes sono fuori catalogo nel nostro paese, dunque il mio consiglio è di rivolgersi a questo cofanetto Uk, dato che offre tre film importanti nella carriera di questo grande regista/produttore; inoltre è importante far notare che per ogni film è presente anche la traccia audio italiana oltre all'inglese, sebbene io consigli comunque l'ascolto in lingua originale: l'adattamento si rivela piuttosto approssimativo, soprattutto nel caso di Breakfast Club.

Oh ich liebe es, meine Fernsehabende sind gerettet :)Ich bin ein Kind der späten 80er und wurde zufällig auf die Filme und dem berühmten Prat-Packder 80er aufmerksam.Von da an war ich sofort Fan von John Hughes, immerhin ist er auch für Filme wie "Kevin allein zu Haus""Beethoven" oder die bekannte Griswold-Reihe berühmt! Das sind Filme die man sich immer wieder gerneansieht. Genauso geht es mir mit den Teenie-Filmen aus der Collection.Echt klasse, damit wurden die Grundsteine für alle späteren Teenie-Filme gelegt, wer es mag sollte sichdiese Collection holen, genial!!! :)

Il prodotto é arrivato nei tempi previsti e l'imballaggio della spedizione era ben fatto (protettivo). Entro l'imballaggio il prodotto era nella confezione originale ed in ottimo stato apparente (non ho ancora avuto tempo di aprirlo e usarlo). Molto contento.

Un prezzo davvero basso per gli amanti di John Hughes. Breakfast Club in special modo è un film che non dovrebbe mai mancare nella videoteca di un appassionato di cinema.

Great 80s collection but digital codes expired.
The movies speak for themselves; they are great. My biggest concern is that the movie came in last week from Amazon and when I tried to enter the digital codes, only the Breakfast Club movie went through. The other two would not work. I wrote to Universal and they told me the codes were expired. They offered codes to two other movies, which I would not have picked normally.If you just want the BlueRay, this is a great 80's collection If you want the digital copy, you'll want to find another method.

Digital copies not available
As a number of people have already pointed out, the code for the digital copy of The Breakfast Club is the only one that worked; the other two were expired.I contacted Universal support about that and I was told "Sixteen Candles and Weird Science is currently not available for UltraViolet redemption. However, we value you as a customer & will issue you a free code for ‘Edge Of Seventeen and Howard the Duck‘."Seriously? That's the best they can offer?

Great Movies, Codes May Not Work
Unfortunately, when I went to put in the codes for the digital copies only The Breakfast Club one worked. The other two are apparently expired. While I think this is still a good deal with all the extras included, I was still disappointed by the fail.
