This book was so much more than I expected. Its a such an extremely specific subject, and the author does an amazing job covering it. The pictures are large quality color photographs. The items of jewelry evenly cover the time period she discusses. Several items I had seen in portraits or other jewelry books and never knew they held perfume! If you have an interest in the history of jewelry or perfumes, I highly suggest this well written, detailed, and beautiful book.
