Exactly what I wanted
I have struggled forever trying to learn guitar. I get frustrated with bar chords, because my fingers are so short. I recently have begun learning the ukulele and love it. I decided to get a half-sized guitar. Most may think of this as a kids' guitar, but let me tell you, the craftsmanship is wonderful. Easy to tune, but if you have bigger fingers, you might find the strings too close together...I don't. FINALLY, I can do basic chords and even bar chords without struggling as much. The guitar itself is beautiful with a shiny finish and lovely abalone accents. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it's a Washburn product. I am a novice, and for me, this is exactly what a short, small fingered person has been looking for.

A little "tiny" like others said
I didn't want to travel with my Takamine because I don't trust TSA. That's another discussion for another day. I ordered this and had it shipped to me while I was deployed.Let me begin by saying the seller did a good job at responding to my questions so, customer service is top notch. The guitar itself:This is not a bad guitar by any means. It does have some rattle to the strings unless you're going to capo 3rd fret and higher. Regardless of the strings I put on it, there was always a little looseness to it. Maybe the neck was a little warped or needed tightening but, where I was, I had no options to adjust this. The action is pretty decent. Don't expect a full or rich sound from it due to its size. I had no expectations of this, so I was not disappointed in it. I recorded two of my original songs with it. I will provide links so you can hear what I mean by "tiny".Overall, this did the job I expected and I would recommend it to anyone looking or an entry level guitar.Links to hear the sound of the guitar: [...] [...]

Good value. Solid kids guitar
The guitar was shipped 3 boxes deep with plenty of packaging. It arrived in perfect condition. One thing I didn't read about it, was that this brand is under the ownership of Washburn which is a nice plus. I wasn't sure of the quality of the guitar, but I honestly think that for the size and price, it is pretty great. I didn't buy it for myself, but for my young son. I wanted to get a small guitar but couldn't bring myself to spend $30 on a toy guitar that wouldn't have any use as he grows up. I understand this one is going to end up getting mauled as he grows, but as long as he doesn't break the neck off I'm fine with it. For the price, this is a decent guitar. I see some reviews have been written by people who wanted to use this as a travel guitar, I personally don't think I could do it as the sound is definitely very tinny. If you are a seriously player and want a smaller guitar, the taylor "mini" series are pretty amazing...but obviously run a much steeper price. That being said, this is a fantastic young kid's guitar.

A little tinny but still excellent for the money
My seven year old son started taking guitar lessons from his Uncle Chris four weeks ago and I wanted to get an inexpensive but well built guitar that would withstand the beating a seven year old could dish out. Sound was secondary to the quality of the build in this case and I was very happy. The whole guitar feels solid and well made. The sound is tinny but that's to be expected for something so small. For my son it's a perfect size. He's a big 7 year old but still, his hands are small compared to a ten year old. I thought about getting a 3/4 size so he'd grow into it but when comparing the cost of the lessons and other things in life the extra hundred I spent on the guitar is nothing so I'd rather he gets something that fits him now. I am very happy with the purchase. It seems like the perfect guitar for our situation.

High quality product! Positively worth the money!
Well made, easy to tune and sounds excellent. Truly a quality product! As a side note, was not impressed with the tie on for the strap so I used a small suction cup placed at the top of the body of the guitar (as recommended by another reviewer) and it works great. Less chance my grandson will hurt himself putting the strap around his neck. Can't beat the price on Amazon. $30 less than local stores.

Great for children!
Purchased for 8 yr old girl to begin lessons. Much better than other small guitars that sound too play-like. Great purchase!

Great basic half size guitar. Good quality!
Great sounding half size guitar for someone learning to play. I purchased this for my 4 yr old. Although a little big for him, in about a year it will be the pefect size.

Beautiful
Sounds great, my 6 year old sons guitar tutor suggested 1/2 or 3/4 size, pleased I went with 1/2 as still slightly too big but aesthetically I fell in love with this guitar, the pictures do not do it justice. A REAL guitar for my little man.
