BOSS Audio Systems R63 Riot Series 6.5 Inch Car Door Speakers - 300 Watts (per Pair), 3 Way, Full Range, Sold in Pairs, Bocinas para Carro

I bought these to replace my back speakers in my '02 Camry. I wanted something cheap but with some decent quality. Anything would be better than the paper factory speakers. I've delt with car stereo speakers, subs and amps for 18 years and normally I wouldn't buy something like Boss. I bought these along with some Infinity Reference 6x9's and those are in the front. For them being in the back and I normally fade a little to the front I figured these would give a better sound without pushing them to much. They sound much better than the stock speakers. They fit the aftermarket brackets which made the installation pretty easy. With a 12" sub in the trunk these also give off a little more high and mid level sound to help equal it with all the bass coming from the sub. So far I'm happy with this purchase. I would only caution to not go by what Boss tells you on the max wattage. The Infinity that I bought are 300 watt max and these are 500 watt. The Infinity has a much larger magnet and seem much better quality than the boss. The Infinity are $72 vs $30 for these. The Boss would probably not hold up to the 500 watts it claims. Boss amps and such are typically over-rated as well but if you choose to use these I would just install them as a replacment and not to or use caution if you hook them up to an external amp.

Replaced original front doors speakers on 2013 Chevy Express van with OEM head unit. Left OEM speaker had failed and I lost turn signal clicker and chimes. Boss Riot 6 1/4" fit almost perfectly using OEM mounts and screws. I did have to splice the supplied cables to the OEM wires but it was easy . Sound was better than I expected but I am not an audiophile and I don't often raise volume more than I need to understand the lyrics...zzz. Great value and so far I am completely satisfied.

As mentioned on other sites, Boss in their wisdom made this 3 way speaker and decided to pump up the price put a fake tweeter on the center mount and fool their customers. Stupid being most car audio enthusiasts are avid tinkerers and will find you out. I got these cheap, cheaper than the 3 ways so I am happy with the sound. I don't even know why these companies try and fool the consumer except greed. Just make a 3 way and charge a price accordingly.

I bought this pair of speakers because the front right speaker in my 2004 Honda Civic stopped working. I first connected one without mounting it in the car to see if I could test out the sound. I was worried that it seemed very quiet compared to the stock speaker on the left side. After fully mounting it into my car door, though, the volume level evened out. I did a comparison with the stock speaker by adjusting the fader all the way to the front. The stock speaker had slightly louder bass tones, but the Boss Audio speaker had better clarity for the low range. When I turned up the volume, the door actually thumped along on a track with a heavy bass beat which is an effect that I've never felt with the stock speakers. My only issue with the speakers was that it was not a direct replacement on my car. I had to use Metra 82-7803 Accord Civic/ VW Speaker Adaptor Plate with self-tapping screws in order to mount the speaker in the car door.

Good all around tone but still has overwhelming treble even with equalizer adjustments. Speaker is fairly thick compared to OEM speakers so do check your work dimensions. Best part of this item is the price; simply can't beat that price unless you find a smoking deal on Craigslist. However, it is still a budget speaker so I would not use this if you expect studio quality or want to win a bass contest. Would recommend for most uses.

Fit good. Sounds alright. The clarity and lows are rather bad. But for normal music and nothing special they are perfect.

I am sorry this is not something I would put in my car. 1 of speakers had no bass . I mean no bass what so ever. Just sad . So I am going for the pioneers, A name you can trust.

Usé estas bocinas en un Mustang 82 y la verdad es que se escucharon super bien, tengo un estéreo JVC que las aprovecha muy bien aunque para sacarle más provecho se necesita un amplificador. Las recomiendo por el precio que pagué ($600) aproximadamente. Tengo su Unboxing en YT por si gustan buscarlo.
