Real Purity Roll-On Natural Deodorant

This deodorant is very promising so far. I've tried way too many natural deodorants that haven't lasted the entire day, I always end up stinky. I've been using this 2 weeks so far and it's working. It's kept me fresh even through stress sweat. I haven't tested it on a hike just yet, but my hopes are high it'll do the trick. It smells a little funny when you first put it on, almost like basil, but the smell fades quickly. I haven't noticed any weird stains on my clothes, and no irritation in my armpits. So far this is the natural deodorant winner for me!

So I have tried so many natural deodorants. I started down this path back in September and now have gone through so many brands. Before deciding to go natural, I was the girl who always used clinical strength and man finding a natural one that does not irritate my skin and actually work has been a challenge. But I am so happy to say, THIS product worked on the first try, no irritations, and kept me smelling good over 24 hours (that has not been the case in ANY other brand). I first tried the Tom's brand as that was easily available and at the grocery store. Alas it did not last more than a couple hours before I started to smell my own BO. Then I tried Piper Was at the suggestion of my friend's blog (Gurl Gone Green). I was excited because it was said to also help not just with order but antiperspirant. This brand worked for me for about a week or so before my body rejected it and my pits began smelling almost like weed. Not during this process I was following all of the detox tips. I had been using a Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay - 1 lb. | Deep Pore Cleansing Facial & Healing Body Mask | The Original 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay to help get the toxins out, using apple cider vinegar to get the PH back in balance and alas the search went on. I tried Freedom Brand next and honestly loved it. It seemed to work! But after a week I began developing a nasty red rash that did not go away so again the hunt continued. Next I tried Native deodorant. This was what I had been using for the last 3 months. And I had to go through a couple of scents, but it again seemed to work. My pits did develop a bit of a film and were kinda greasy but hey I didn't smell so I stuck it out....until one day my body decided...Nope I don't like it any more. Then I couldn't go more than 3-4 hours without again having a weed-like scent (no matter the scent I was using it all turned after 3-4 hours). So after hours of research I ran across this product and it was unlike so many I have tried. It was roll on and I will not lie, I was not sure what would happen. I have been using it a week now and LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. It does leave you a little wet if you don't have time to let it dry once you put it on, but it lasts such a long time. I am one SUPER happy customer!!!

I started using natural deodorant maybe 2 years ago. I have tried SO many deodorants, most of which are spendy. This is by far the best. For context, I know that switching to natural deodorant and between different natural deodorants can take a few weeks+ for your body to adjust, so each deodorant was given trial time, which sucks when you know it's not working. I have tried different scents of Schmidt's, which I liked and it did work, but I had an allergy and would get terrible red rashes anywhere it touched after a few days of use. Same thing with Primal Paste in multiple scents. I was getting downhearted. Toms of Maine was alright but I felt like I had to reapply on a normal day, let alone for a workout or hot day. I tried Lush, red rash again. I have tried SO many flavors of Native and while I'm not allergic, there is something about that brand that when combined with even a small amount of my sweat smells so funky, to the point where even after scrubbing in the shower I still felt like I could smell it. Gross. I tried Weleda spray and solid, works fine but I felt like I had to reapply, same with Alaffia, although I do like the scents of both and still keep them so as to not waste, I will use them in a pinch or if I want a little scent. At this point I've easily spent over $100 on deodorant that either works but I'm allergic to, or doesn't work at the level of non natural deodorant. I don't want to have to carry deodorant with me everywhere I go, and I don't want to be smelly. I saw Aubrey Plaza mention this in an interview and added it to the list of deodorants to try, there are still lots of natural options out there to go through, but I was sick of throwing out mostly full products and wasting time and money. I have put Real Purity to the REAL test during quarantine...it. freaking. works. The scent is so so mild, but clean, it's practically like you're not wearing anything at all, but also without any BO. It's like you're scentless, it's so crazy. It lasts for dayyyyys people, without reapplying, but also, washes off easily in the shower. It's not like your razor has to fight some gluey substance like with some deodorants. It's kind of expensive on Amazon, but honestly considering how much I've wasted on finding something that works I think it's worth it.

Hands down best roll-on deodorant for protection, no rash, no smelly armpits .. my only complain would be the price even though I still order it for the $20 and we'll order it again

I switched to aluminum-free deodorants years ago since I work in breast cancer research and there are potential links to aluminum in deodorants and breast cancer. Although some I had tried actually did work as deodorants pretty well (Island deodorant, Native, Arm & Hammer Natural, etc.), they were only deodorants but not antiperspirants so my armpits were perpetually wet (I live in Florida). These brands kept odor under control under normal circumstances but I always had visibly wet armpits on my clothes. I finally decided to research further to find an aluminum-free deodorant with antiperspirant properties. I came across Real Purity Roll-on and then researched the safety of magnesium stearate making sure that I was not just trading one metal (aluminum) for another (magnesium). Magnesium stearate is considered safe so I ordered this product. I was so surprised that after a day or so, the armpits finally dried up for the first time in years! I travel a lot for work and have had zero issues with this product. I do wish it was available in a non-liquid format because of my extensive travel but the dry underarms are worth it. It does go on wet and you do have to wait a couple minutes for it to dry. I have not had any transfers or staining on my clothing, no rashes or reactions whatsoever and I have very sensitive skin. It is fragrance free and I have had no odor issues since using this product no matter how much I sweat (did I mention I live in Florida, lol?) I have since reordered the product and have used the product for almost a year now so I thought it was time to leave a review. Although this product is considerably more expensive than the other products I have tried, one bottle lasts a very long time (about 6 months so longer than the stick deodorants for me) so it is well worth the price in my opinion.

I used a natural mineral deodorant stick for probably 30 years and then my body changed. It no longer worked. I've been trying other natural or no aluminum products since then trying to find on that works. Either the product itself didn't work or the scents were so awful I couldn't stand to try them long enough. I kept searching and found this. Roll on dries quickly, no residue, no smell and seems to work! I'm so happy. Giving it 4 stars as it hasn't yet been tested in extreme heat yet. Worth a try. I spent a lot of $ and containers went into the trash. I hope they don't change the formulation to "keep up with the Joneses".

I'm honestly undecided about this deodorant. It actually works surprisingly well. I don't know how because the ingredients seem benign. I hadn't heard of Cleaver's extract before; it appears to be a plant. However, after using it about 3 days, my left armpit now hurts and the lymph node is tender. A quick web search of Cleavers + Lymph indicates that Cleavers has an affinity to lymph and supposedly helps the lymph system drain more efficiently. I did have a rash develop in my left armpit a few times this past month after using my regular baking soda-containing deodorant that I'd been using for years. I have been trying different natural deodorants this past month, on a mad hunt to find one that actually works and doesn't contain baking soda. Some people online feel that a rash with baking soda indicates there is a build up of something in your lymph gland that doesn't belong there and you should do an armpit detox with apple cider vinegar and bentonite clay daily until rash subsides. I tried that once and it was such a mess that I gave up and tried to find a deodorant without baking soda... but none of them seemed to work well enough to keep my new BO at bay. I actually think applying sunless tanning lotion to my armpit last week is the reason for my new, terrible BO and maybe even my rash (since I also applied it there several times this summer). Of course applying anything on a lymph node after shaving is probably not the best idea. So now I'm trying to decide if I should continue using this and hope it flushes out my lymph system... or is it the sole cause of my pain?

So look.... I'm female but a major sweater since I was a child. I've tried every otc clinical strength product out there and a couple of prescription only antiperspirants. I'm now 40, and short or Botox, I've realized that nothing is going to stop the underarm sweating.....and that's okay. Since no antiperspirant really worked anyway, I thought there'd be no harm in trying some natural deodorants and eliminating aluminum from my life. I really did not think it would work ..well it does. It smells like basil to me, but the smell dissipates pretty quickly and it's doubtful anyone could smell you. While this product isn't an antiperspirant, it seems to work with your body naturally to decrease the amount of sweat somehow. It might be witchcraft. It lasts me a 10 hour workday in an office, but I still carry a small travel size deodorant with me just in case. Also, when I made the switch, I didn't experience the supposed detox period that a lot of people mention. I will say that I only switched a few months ago, so I haven't tested this product in the Texas summer heat. Also, tried Native, Dove and Athena's deodorant. The only one that comes anywhere close to this is Athena, but it only lasts me about 4-5 hours and I'm not comfortable wearing the Athena out. I just can't rely on it. This product does leave a white residue so if you like sleeveless tops it might be an issue. Also pricey, but you can get about 30-45 days out of one package. Even with the price, I'm sold at this point and will continue to use it.

Over the past 10-15 years I have tried more 'natural' deodorants than I could ever count and never, never have I found anything that I have enjoyed using, that has been as effective and that I would 100% recommend as much this one. For me at least, it really is the very best deodorant I have ever tried, natural or otherwise. What works for me about this deodorant is...that it works! It is a deodorant as opposed to an anti-perspirant so it neutralises any odour rather than blocking and preventing perspiration. It definitely does prevent odour very, very effectively for me and it isn't just masking odours; it really does seem to be neutralising them. I am incredibly sensitive to fragrances in any form and there are few that I can tolerate at all. This deodorant does have a scent. Whilst I would class this as quite a strong, natural, unisex fragrance (think sandalwood, rosemary, geranium, lavender, sage) I find it quite pleasant, fresh and sophisticated. The fragrance dissipates after around half an hour or so, so even if you decide it isn't for you, you really don't smell it after this time. The effectiveness does not fade at all. I apply this first thing in the morning and never need to reapply, even in 30+ degrees heat. I am always concerned about possible skin reactions with any deodorant as I have diagnosed skin allergies and often react to essential oils as well as baking soda and a whole host of other ingredients. I have reacted to even the most benign-sounding, natural, supposedly kind-to-skin deodorant formulas. Not to this one! In spite of the essential oils, I have never had any reaction whatsoever, no itching, no redness, no dryness. I have absolutely no idea what kind of magic is in this stuff but whatever it is, it is worth every penny. Oh and that brings me on to the price... ...This may sound like quite a lot of money to pay for a deodorant but 1) I have actually paid much more for a deodorant (desperation does strange things to a person!) and found those other, more expensive deodorants either to be completely ineffective or to cause skin reactions or both, 2) you get a lot of product in this bottle and even after around 2 - 3 months of daily use, I have probably only used around 10% of the contents at most and 3) if I had just bought this deodorant years ago and saved on all of the cheaper deodorants I have bought while trying to find something that worked, I would have saved an absolute fortune. In essence, what I am saying is that this is absolutely worth the cost to me and my quest to find the perfect deodorant is over. This is deodorant perfection itself.
