Is this rice ball mold dishwasher safe?

No, hand wash only. Dishwasher use can warp the thin plastic and damage the hinge, so hand washing is required.

What types of rice work best?

Short-grain sticky rice like sushi rice, or Japanese rice works best. Warm, freshly cooked rice holds shape much better than dry or cold rice.

Can it be used for other types of food?

Yes, it can shape sticky foods like cookie dough, potato bites, or brigadeiro. Best results come from foods that are soft and easy to mold.

What is the mold made of?

It is made of lightweight plastic and includes a plastic scoop. The material is easy to use, but gentle handling is important for longer life.

Does it come with instructions?

It does not include a detailed manual. The basic use is simple: fill, close, shake, and release, and the listing visuals help show the process.
