This works well. Makes a great steak from frozen to medium 10 minutes. My "Big" white bread doesn't fit for grilled cheese so I cut a little strip off of the sandwich. This is only a problem with the height of the bread. There is plenty of room for wide bread.

I've had my mini George Foreman grill for YEARS and I can't believe it still works great. I wrap it in foil for easy cleanup but also because the coating on the grill has been long ago scratched off from cleaning. I use it for sandwiches.

I cooked a 1/4 lb.grease free burger to well, actually more done then I usually like it in 5 minutes. This unit is much faster then a fry pan or a gas grill. I bought this unit used at a yard sale for $1, and if I bought it new for the price on amazon I would be just as happy. I had Magic Chef convection/grill microwave that Cost me $119 crapped out after 7 years, I was heart broken over it. I bought and tried a new replacement Unit of a different brand, because I couldn't find the exact MC brand that cost twice as much and wasn't half as good. Other then that many unit claiming to have these features cost $400 to $600. As a matter of fact a steak or burger that would take 10 minutes, 5 on each side with my old $119 unit took twice as long on the $249 micro grill/conv. I returned it thinking I would have to either stop eating steaks, or crawl on the floor to use the kitchen stove broiler, or cook it in a fry pan and eat meat that had the same texture as the sole of my boot...LOL. But seriously I am very pleased with my GR10WHT, and I am sure I can cook a med cooked tender steak in under 5 minutes. The grill does smoke a slight bit while cooking, nothing out of normal, but if you have a stove vent fan you should put on or it could set off a very nearby smoke detector. Buy this grill you will be glad you did..
