Angora Alibi: A Seaside Knitters Mystery

A Knitting Adventure Next to the Sea.
I very much enjoyed this novel, which is in the wonderful series, "A Seaside Knitters Mystery." One of the reasons I enjoyed the story is that the author continually connects the art of knitting with the weaving of her story line.Knit shop owner, Izzy Chambers Perry, is expecting her first child. The previous nine months has been full of love, happiness, and calmness. Suddenly there is a jarring note to her life, a babies car seat and tattered yellow blanket, sitting day by day at the Cove. Finally, Izzy picks it up and throws it in her car trunk...setting off everything from attempted car theft to murder! The seaside community of Sea Harbor, Mass. is shaken to it's core when teenager, Justin is found murdered. Justin had worked odd jobs, and Izzy had just seen him at her OB/GYN's office as she went in for her weekly visit. Justin was a happy go lucky guy who would do anything for a dollar or two. Recently, he seemed to have hit gold and was spreading his wealth around. However, there were those that despised his very being...why?Issy feels her baby cannot be born until Sea Harbor regains it's sea legs. Her fellow knitter's and family all join together to knit the community back together. This was an excellent read for cozy murder mystery fans. There is also a bonus of a baby blanket pattern and a lovely Tuna recipe at the ending.

A Cavalier attitude was off putting.
As much as I look forward to and enjoy catching up on the lives of the Seaside Knitters I found their cavalier attitude toward the theft of an expensive necklace to be very disconcerting. The majority of these characters have worked very hard to get to a point in their lives where they can sit back, give back and smell the roses. So why this attitude toward a major theft? I must say I did enjoy the story and look forward to the next Seaside book but perhaps with a little less enthusiasm then normal.

Seventh Seaside Mystery
This was the seventh of the Seaside Knitters Mysteries and as have the six been before this novel, it was light, suspenseful and enjoyable. By now the characters are almost "personal friends" in the believability department. To say they are developed is an understatement. While the culprit in the stories may not be obvious, character behaviors and personalities are predictable because they are so well developed. Though it is fun to begin reading from the first novel, each book is stand-alone. Highly recommended for folks who like light, clean mysteries.

Izzy's having a baby!
It's summer and the very pregnant Izzy is still running on the beach with her aunt Nell. Her shop is doing well with classes and a group of friends who meet once a week in the shop to work on tiny garments. But Izzy finds a baby's car seat that's apparently abandoned. When it's still there days later Izzy starts wondering and worrying about the baby - where it is, whose it is the plot begins. A scuba diver is found murdered in the area she found the car seat. Are the two incidents related? Izzy has to solve the puzzles before her baby makes its appearance.

Knitters solve murders
Love Sally's books. Have read each of the Seaside Knitters mysteries. I think each gets better. I like seeing the close relationship s of the main characters as the grow and age through each book. The mysteries are intriguing seeing this small group of friends figuring out the killer and the why behind it.

A Great Book
I totally loved this book! Couldn't put it down yet I was so sorry to see it end! It was very easy for me to get involved in the character's lives, root for them. I have read all the books in this series, and the characters feel like my friends, and the town feels like my home! I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to others!
