Delicious
So good. It is like roe in taranka - dried salty fish. Exactly what I was craving. So good.

Nice color and taste but drier than other Bottargas from the same brand.
I've tried every type of Bottarga from this brand. This one has a beautiful color and full umami taste but it's a drier consistency than the Egyptian or French type. This would be my third choice and certainly of great quality but for me the dryness makes it a secondary choice. Everyone has a personal preference for consistency and if you are planning on grating this into pasta it would be ideal.

Best one I’ve brought within the states!
I used to be obsessed with this while living in another country. I ordered this without learning that it’s Brazilian? Although I’ve only had it on pasta in Sardinia. It’s tasty! Abit of sweetness with saltiness. I did happen to put abit too much which end up making it taste a tiny bitter. But it’s great! Make it with olive oil garlic pasta, and server it on top along with some chili flakes, cherry tomato!

Mild flavor, amber color, very fresh
Product came well sealed and looking fresh. The roe was amber color all the way through the lobe, sliced very nicely. This Brazilian bottarga had no "fishy" smell, no sharp bitter aftertaste at all. Compared to Italian bottarga "Sardinian gold", this one has a mild flavor, less salt, an "easier" aftertaste. The texture and the flavor are absolutely on point. This is an example of perfectly delicious classic bottarga. Meant for pastas, toppings or being enjoyed on it's own. And this is the second time Bottarga Brothers LLC have sent me an outstanding fresh piece of delicacy. I will be ordering more varieties from them, and keep comparing.

Not for me
Arrived as pictured. On time. Good quality but the taste was not for me. I am addicted to caviar and thought this would be just as delicious but just taste like raw fish. Live and learn. Still gave 5 stars because it was a quality product, just not for me.

More for the money
I could be wrong, but since the bottarga didn't have a wax enclosure it seemed like I got more. The flavor was excellent. Compared to other Bottarga, it seemed slightly like a dark roast flavor. If I didn't scarf it down so fast I'd buy another one now.
