Wonderful reading!
I buy a lot of books that i don’t read, i didn’t expect to read this one. I did and it was terrific. As soon as i read the first paragraph i couldn’t put it down. Linda is interesting, funny and talented. Her recipes are written out with such care and her background info on soo many things is fascinating. Highly recommend this book to foodies, travelers or anyone who just wants to escape for an afternoon of joyous food loving adventure.

Personable and Helpful!
It's been a long time since I read a nonfiction book this captivating. The author's personality really shines through and draws you deeper into the beautiful world of pasta. I can't wait to start making recipes from this glorious, photo-filled book! Also, in case there were any questions, Linda is hilarious. Here's my favorite excerpt:"Close your eyes, open your mouth just a tad, and imagine that a mermaid has placed her breast just within reach of your tongue. Give it a healthy lick -- boy, girl, gay, straight, don't tell me you wouldn't slurp a mermaid if you had the chance -- and now open your eyes and salt your water to taste just like the puckery protuberance of that mythical maiden. I mean, I could have said salty like the sea, but something tells me you'll remember this rule of breast best."Captivating, beautiful, and informational, what's not to love? I learned a lot about both technique and Italian pasta culture as I devoured this book in a day of delighted reading. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great recipes and inspiration!
If you make your own pasta, this takes you to a different level. I've had great fun using the recipes to make different colors and shapes, much to the delight of those who I've gifted with fresh pasta. It's FUN!

So good - we're buying a second copy
I took this book with me to my hometown for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it so much.... I have to get another copy. The photographs are well done and really help you understand how to shape the pasta. The author clearly explains the steps to make great dough and then shape it. We were easily able to make the milk, tomato, and leafy green (we used frozen spinach) dough. My daughters skipped to the advanced techniques of "painting pasta with pasta" and we ended up with some interesting, yet tasty designs. I have been making pasta off and on for a few years now and I was amazed at how helpful the book was. I learned many techniques that have improved my pasta making (and explain some of my previous failures) and because of the rainbow colors - everyone is so excited to participate, clean up, and eat pasta!

Gave 4 Stars
Gave the book 4 stars because the recipes are delish. I realized however all her pictures of her creations are of raw pasta where the colors are vibrant and crisp. But after making the beetroot ravioli I was so disappointed to see how faded the color becomes after boiling.

This book will walk you through everything from the basic pasta recipe along with the equipment to make it. The author also provides neat and creative pasta recipes to advance your skills

Perfect
This book is amazing, it's both accessible and aspirational. If you've never made a noodle in your life or if you do it like it's your job (even if it is your job!) there is something for everyone. The photos are incredible and the explanations are thoughtful and well written. There is no better way to become a master pasta maker!Its perfect for all skill levels, it's going to make an incredible hostess gift for anyone I visit during the holidays!

Just Wow!
I have been waiting for this book for months and it has met and surpassed my expectations! Being somewhat of a novice pasta maker myself... Linda's recipes are easy to follow and she gives so much practical advice mixed with a great sense of humor!! I have read every page and several sections repeatedly!! My first recipe was Beet-Blueberry pasta made into squash ravioli with brown butter sage sauce for a Halloween season treat. My family raved about it for days! I can't wait to share more recipes with my extended family and try more at home. As an Italian and an art teacher...this book bridges my two passions of art and cooking!!! Thank you for all of the inspiration!

Absolutely stunning!!
What a gorgeous book. My first thought was, do I really need another cookbook?! I'm so glad I did purchase. Not only is this book stunning, the recipes are well laid out with great pics and practical. I'm not sure I'd go as far as making happy faces on a Ravioli, but everything else, I would definitely try. I love that most of the ingredients are all natural. There's the odd 1-2 natural colour additives you can buy online, but that's basically it. Everything else can be found around my kitchen and what most of us already have on hand.
