I do love the smell of a real cedar closet, but my husband is allergic so I can't have one. I was looking forward to this alternative that hopefully wouldn't make his nose run, and it doesn't, but it also doesn't make me think of a cedar closet either. My son described it as a wood fire smell, so maybe it was a cedar closet at one point, it's just after it's been pulled out and replaced because of the afore-mentioned allergies. The smell is fine -- it's not very strong, so for me, it's not a candle I would use if I was pushing for an aroma through the house -- it would be more for atmosphere or actual light.I do recommend Nika's Home soy candles though because of how they burn. The two I have had burned smoothly and evenly, without the pit burning down through middle while wax remains wasted along the sides. This is a big thing for me -- I hate the waste of the wax, so I tend to mess with the candles that don't burn evenly to try to make sure everything ends up melting. My experience with Nika's is that this is not necessary, and that's a good thing.

Love this candle. Most scents give me headaches and I love vanilla but it’s always too strong / fake smelling. This scent is a clean true vanilla, light but still fills the room / my entire 1 bedroom apartment. Have burned it 3 nights in a row for 4-5 hours each time and it has barely gone down. Will be my new go to candle for myself and gifting!

It's a candle and I am no expert so I do not have much to say except that it smells GREAT.A bit pricey but worth it.

Nika's Home Oatmeal Milk-n-Honey Soy Candle was a very good choice. It's a little hard buying scented items over the internet, since we don't have smell-o-vision yet, but the name sounded like a comforting experience and that's really a good description of how it turned out. I said pleasant and relaxing in the headline above and those are good words for this one. Smooth is another good descriptor also. It's a little sweet, as you would probably expect from the inclusion of the honey, but not overly so, like some floral scents can be. It's more of a subtle experience, which my household enjoyed a lot.The other question about candles is how do they burn and this one burned evenly. I think that's what the soy wax does; I didn't end up with a burned-down hole in the middle of the candle and wax left along the sides. When allowed to burn for long enough, the melting process would distribute even across the jar so there were never mountains of wax left wasted along the sides.All in all, this was an enjoyable choice for our scent preferences and was a solid purchase given the way it burned. Would recommend this one highly.

Expect it to be strong at first but wroth getting. I will be getting more scents.

I'm really enjoying this candle. I'm sensitive to overpowering scents and this candle is lovely and subtle. Like pouring maple syrup over pancakes in the morning, it's warm and soothing.
