The Dream of a Common Language: Poems 1974-1977

This collection is something to devour once and then read again and again slowly.

The content of the book is wonderful but it looks used, it has some worn parts and the package comes without any protection. I bought this book as a gift and I would be too ashamed to give something that looks worn. for the price i could buy a better looking book…

Great Quality for a second hand book. And the poems are wonderful! My favorite is “Love Poem No. VIII”

This was an older version, but it gave the poems all the more character. I absolutely loved getting this book.

I learned of this book (and Adrienne Rich in general) when I read "WILD" by Cheryl Strayed. I purchased it and was not disappointed. The poetry is beautiful and moving.

Well written but I couldn't identify with much of the poetry. Nice to have this classic for my library 😊 however.
