What you need to know about the Azor Classical Overdrive
Azor Classical Overdrive: Buy it cause it's great and versatile. It sorta sounds like something between a Timmy and Boss Blues Driver and does all that very well. It's also cuts through mix no problem. Built well and feels solid and not cheap. Classic rock - country and blues is no problem at all for this pedal. Right now it happens to be the cheapest and best sounding medium gain overdrive on my board and I am still blown away by how good it sounds. The mids are just right with no hump (not too TS like) and I think that's what makes it work so well. I went out and bought the Timmy but I'm still using this cause it works so well. One question I have is: Is this the same as the Caline Blue Sky? But just a miniature size version of it? I would like to know. I suspect it is. Buy the pedal cause you won't be sorry.

Nice little overdrive.
This mini overdrive has a hefty weight for its size and has nice, smooth turning knobs, which feel nicer than most of these cheap Chinese pedals and more on par with the Tone City pedals, which are a step above stuff like Mosky, Caline, Tomsline etc. I own over three dozen of these cheapie pedals as well as more expensive ones, so I have a good comparison. It has a treble and bass knob rather than just a tone (treble) knob, which is nice. No midrange control but you can shape the midrange depending on how high or low the bass/treble are set (lower = more mids relative to other frequency ranges, higher = relatively less mids). The pedal produces moderate gain for an overdrive pedal. With hot pickups (I used humbuckers around 15-16K ohms) it can get nearly into distortion territory. One caveat: If you turn the treble to 9 or 10, the pedal freaks out and gets screechy and it seems like the gain goes off the charts. (not sure if this is a defect?) Now if you're into lo-fi and noisy, cacophonous music like I am, it sounds REALLY cool, but it is anything but sweet or musical. At lower settings the sound is very smooth, even a little compressed. So if you want a nice overdrive to add some girth to single coils, or a smooth, *almost* distortion sound from some hot humbuckers, this is a good choice.

Itโs a hit!
I own several Azor pedals. Some are major hits (Boost, Distortion), others kinda meh (Fuzz), others a little heavy-handed (Reverb, Phase), and some total misses (Comp). This OD is a hit. Pros: Two-band EQ gives more versatility than typical tone control. Very smooth audio taper. Solid construction. Great packaging. Plays very well with digital amp modelers/multiFX units. I love the tones I get from this pedal. There is no roll off on either side of the EQ spectrum and you can dial in more treble or bass as needed. The distortion it offers is very sweet, full, and even. Cons: True unity gain is past 12 oโclock; might not be enough headroom to use as a major boost, but I did get it to break up a CLEAN Matchless amp model on my Zoom unit with volume only. No battery compartment; this is not a problem for me since I use a brick. This is not a high gain pedal. It will not replace more similar pedals from Boss (BD-2, SD-1) because they have more gain on tap. It is more Timmy-like in that sense, and more transparent than Boss, but not as boost-y or as gain-y.

WOW!!!! As close as a KLON as you can get for $25
I gotta tell my first impression of this KLONโesque overdrive is that it sounds warm and can stack well with other overdrives or boost pedals (ala the azor โTimmyโ style overdrive and azor pure boost). The gain is useable from min to max and sounds beefy and awesome!!! never shrill at all. I really do think this pedal might be my favorite Azor overdrive on my board at this moment. Just spend the measly $25 for KLON flavored overdrive youโll be glad you did. DO IT!!!!!

Great sound and great tone
I love the sound of this overdrive! itโs not too โgainyโ and has such a nice tone that it was perfect for what i was looking for! It also has very good adjustability for the tone and level of overdrive for such a good price! 10/10 would buy from Azor again!

From Hero to Zero!
The way that AZOR pedal reviews are lumped together, I must leave a review for both overdrive pedals here. AP308(Blue pedal) โ 5 Stars - This may be the best OD Iโve played through at any price. I love it. The mids are not too pronounced and the pedal isnโt instant heavy rock when you step on it. You can go from slightly overdriven blues tones to a grittier blues/rock tone, and all points in between. I suppose everyone is looking for something slightly different from an OD pedal, but for my tastes, this is the sound. It is transparent but can add grit when needed. AP320(Golden OD) โ 1 Star โ This is where things come unraveled. I loved the AP308 so much that I ordered this hoping to get another quality OD but with a different flavor. Sadly, the AP320 I received has so much hiss and crackle that it is useless. I contacted AZOR and they were helpful, but I didnโt reorder another AP320. Since having the issue, Iโve seen video reviews and read comments of people having the same excessive noise problem. Then again, Iโve read some favorable reviews too. Iโm not sure what to make of this except that it may be a roll of the dice to get a good one. I was wanting to buy other AZOR pedals, but now Iโll probably look for another brand. Iโm still happy because, at the very least, I got a great, cheap OD pedal in the AP308. Thanks for reading and happy playing!

pretty good
It has great sound, but I hate how it comes with no cords. The light on the level knob is blinding. all of the knobs work perfectly but the top of the low knob was indented unlike the other knobs. Great for the price and would be great on a pedal board.

2nd chance
I ordered the Azor 308 od pedal a few years ago, it was DOA, never returned it to Amazon, gave it a one star and moved on. I have owned the Azor Tiger Drive since it came out, a very good pedal, decided to give the 308 another try, everything is groovy this time around, it's a good sounding pedal. No nasally mid hump, I have a mid control on my Fender Bassbreaker amp, if I want more. I have the new pedal set up first in my pedalboard chain, gain on low for a decent clean sound, I run it into the Azor Tiger Drive for my dirt, they work well together. I'm glad I ordered the 308 again, no complaints, hopefully both pedals will hold up.

THE BEST OD compared to MANY others.
i have tried a lot of OD through the years. EVEN compared to aTube Screamer from Ibanez, this pedal makes the cut. The range is larger than other pedals. But most important, the clarity is there. MOST ODs will tone down (muff) your guitar sound with not enough high range to clean it up. This pedal DOES IT !!! When you press the button, if properly adjusted, you will ear NO variation on the guitar Tone. It is honestly a recommendation.

Lots of bang for a few bucks
For the money, this is one heck of a pedal. Even when cranked, the pedal is somewhat transparent and works really well with my Stratocaster.

A Keeper
For a bit of tone shaping or as part of gain staging, this budget priced pedal used on all low settings is working very well for that.
