This lid for my Hydro Flask is perfect, it stops stuff falling out the flask day in, day out. However, and this is the clever bit, it unscrews effortlessly when you actually want stuff (I recommend hot Vimto) to come out if you're feeling in need a liquid refreshment. How do they do it for the money???

Not sure how but we lost the seal on the lid our bottle and thought we would have to purchase a new one at cost of nearly £50, let me check Amazon and there it was, I was able to purchase the lid on its own, great service arrived earlier than expected - thank you

I have more than 5 hydroflasks but this separate lid is the only one making leaks. I wish I could return this. Not even sure if this is an original. I think the original ones have like an inner plastic or silicone inside which this one hasn't. Or maybe they just built the extra lid like this. Still worthless if it leaks.

Tapa original y de buena calidad

I’m trying to minimise any plastic coming into contact with my food and drink so I wanted to replace the original lid that comes with the bottle, that I’ve been using for a couple years. There is an orange seal inside the lid which I would like to think is rubber but I can’t find that material listed anywhere by Hydroflask. Either way, there is now far less (possibly zero) plastic content on my drink bottle, without having to replace the entire bottle, so I’m really happy. Some reviewers said it felt like metal on metal grinding when closing the lid and it is a metal lid going onto a metal bottle so obviously it isn’t going to feel as smooth as the plastic one…..it doesn’t seem to be shaving or grinding the actual metal so far so I’m not sure if that will have an effect in the long run but so far I am not worried. Other reviewers also said it leaked, which it does if not screwed on tightly. In my experience, the original lid also leaks if not screwed on just as tightly, so they are completely comparable in that respect. It also looks nicer than the plastic original. Very happy with my purchase!
