Aqua Combo Splash with Karen Westfall

I ordered this (along with two other Karen Westfall CD/DVD's) for our 55+ community pool. We've been listening to Billy Jo for years and we wanted a change. Let me explain that we do not have an instructor and only use the CD in a boombox on the side of the pool. A few of us watched the DVD multiple times and then tried listening to the vocal cues at the pool and we were confused. As a group we decided this was not for us. And unfortunately these are not returnable once opened. How do you know if you like it unless you open it. Frustrating!I reached out to the company and Karen immediately responded to try to help me find something else that might work. Big kudos to Karen for trying to help us find something of hers that we'd like which is why she got three stars instead of one or two stars. If we had an instructor who could memorize the routine and could translate some of the positions mentioned on the CD, these would work just fine.As much as I want to love these, I can't recommend these to anyone else in a similar situation.

Have been using Karen Westfall water aerobics for 2 years. Usually do 2 hours every day. Easy to follow, and easy on my joints. I feel better and move easier. Only exercise I look forward to do every day. Wish I had discovered these DVD 's years ago. I have 5 of her DVDs.Amazon delivered Aqua Combo Spash in very timely manner.

I ordered this too late in the season because it hasn't been swimming weather, but I did get as far as the warm up and with that alone, I could feel the work out, so I know this will be beneficial! I will love it once I am able to use it, no question. I had back surgery and my doctor said I should do water exercise rather than the zumba that I used to love to do. This will be great. I find it easy enough to understand.

I was so excited to find this DVD, but extremely disappointed with the purchase. The description reads "Great purchase with the Aqua Flex Paddles" which is grammatically inclusive. It further describes "...Strengthening & Toning with the Aqua Flex Paddles." Again *with* suggests included. The paddles are not included. The $44.99 price is outrageous considering the DVD is available elsewhere for less than half that price. I am returning it because the description was misleading. The DVD is great, but I expected the paddles to come with it, as stated.

Very easy to understand & use only CD for workout.

My mom was very happy with the package. Said it was helpful to see what she was supposed to be doing at the classes she goes to, and that they could use it if the teacher failed to show.

I use this DVD with a group of women of various ages. We are all very, very pleased with the programs and are pleased with ourselves for doing them. The visuals are escellent, altough the audio is sometimes difficult. It would be helpful if the instructor wore a head microphone when taping, but the visuals compensate.

This DVD appears to have been made back in the early 70's. The exercise moves are very slow, the exercises do not provide any moves to strengthen your muscles, nor does it seem to target the many different areas of your body. This instructor does not give any expressions of excitement, nor does the music make you want to "move it, move it".
