Nice drill bit
Got this during a promo sale a few years ago. Just recently had to use this to drill out a broken oil pan bolt in a tight space and this was a life saver. I connected this onto a 1/4” adapter and it saved me from lowering a vehicle subframe just to drill that bolt out. Thank goodness. I might buy another set. The bit head are still sharp after a couple uses so im happy. Cant beat this fo $11.

Fantastic product!
Best value for the basic bit collection! What I love: 1) The brand - Makita drivers have been my go yo for years. 2) The value - there's no better price for the blend of quality and functionality. 3) Functionality - hex shank with the slots on a hinge for easy access is a win! hex shanks.

Good, as long as you don't abuse them
They are hex shank for an impact driver, but that does not mean they are "impact rated". All of the smaller sizes are two-piece, a drill bit brazed into a hex shank. If you abuse these, they will break at the connection between the two pieces. Do not listen to these other reviews saying they break. These people are ABUSING these bits, waggling them around at max speed in an impact, probably drilling deep full depth holes, hammering them with the impact like a twisted chisel. The impact hammer should never engage with these if you're using them right. If the impact is actually impacting, rather than just spinning like a drill, SLOW DOWN. These are for CONVENIENCE & LIGHTENING YOUR PACK, so you can carry only an impact instead of impact + drill, they are not for demolition, high-precision, or mashing the trigger like a gorilla with speed cranked to max on your impact. The larger single piece ones will probably withstand that kind of abuse, but the two piece ones will eventually break. Use lower speeds & take it easy on the two-piece bits and they hold up just fine in wood & drywall. DO NOT USE THEM ON METAL. Thin aluminum is probably fine, but steel will absolutely destroy these. They are not for this. Go buy a set of m35 or m42 molybdenum cobalt HSS bits for steel & keep them lubricated. I've been using these for >90% of my low precision wood/drywall drilling handyman work for several months. I estimate around 500 holes drilled with the set, almost entirely with the mid-size two piece ones at depths less than 2". NO FAILURES, work just as well as day one. This is a very solid set at a great price. Just use them how they're intended. Stay within their limits.

Good affordable bits
Solid basic twist drills at a reasonable price, seem better made than most lower cost alternatives. Case is also pretty well made, but the bits are really snug in their slots. Good for preserving them, but tough to get out the first time. Fine after that.

Tough bits that don’t back down
This Makita set is built for real work. The titanium-coated bits are sharp, durable, and handle everything from wood to metal with ease. They stay cool longer, bite cleanly into materials, and don’t wear out after a few uses like cheaper sets. The 1/4" hex shank fits perfectly into my impact driver, and the quick-change design is a huge time-saver on the job. The case is compact, secure, and keeps everything organized — no more digging around in the toolbox. Whether you’re a DIYer or using them on-site, this set is a solid, go-to addition for everyday drilling.

Love Makita!
These Makita drill bits are great. No complaints with my current usage (personal woodworking projects). I love that the drill bit holder inside the case is easier to rotate compared to some other brands I've used in the past. Not sure if this is just a manufacturing discrepancy but nonetheless, great case.

Usual Makita quality. The bits are well-made and drill fast, accurate holes. As they are titanium nitride coated they should be wear resistant and last a long time.
