A very cheap but decent folding knife
Note: Not a Vine Voice related review. These swayback jack knives have been imported in the UK for a decade. They are now available from importers in the USA as well. In the UK knives like these have been used on farms around livestock for over 100 years often being stamped or etched "Real Lamb Foot." While one can hunt around for a supplier of British made brands such as Arthur Wright or Taylor's Eye Witness, or purchase an American made collector grade knife from GEC, these Chinese imports are available for a much lower cost. That being said, these are quite durable, perform well overall and are easily re-sharpened. The handle is comfortable for pull cuts, and the point is well suited to marking (although as others have pointed out, you may wish to change the bias of the blade to suit you if used mostly for marking or grafting). This tool is not child proof, there is no locking mechanism, relying on a spring to keep the blade open. The spring is not as stout as on the British knives of this pattern, but will serve for most uses, as the point downward design causes the blade to be pushed more fully open when cutting.

Feels good in my hand
This knife seems an excellent value for money. I'm only using it for preparing perennial cuttings, and for cutting succulent pups off the mother plant. Nothing strenuous for me, and nothing hardcore for the knife.I did take some 220 grit sandpaper to the handle to smooth out a few rough bits. I have sensitive skin. For others the handle will likely be perfectly fine. I then used wood balm (main ingredient beeswax) to give the wood some extra protection because of the sanding.Really, the knife simply feels really good in your hand.

Needed sharpening when I got it... but it sharpened well.
I use it for my florist knife.

Good quality
This little knife is the best. It's hard to find good quality pruning knives these days but this one works quite nicely. I highly recommend it.

Not a true grafting knife.
This grafting knife is beveled on both sides of the blade which makes it less than satisfactory for grafting. I had hoped for better.

not a grafting knife
Not a grafting knife, which is supposed to have one edge without a bevel.
