Terrible design on the part of Husqvarna. This part is allegedly needed to correctly channel the air flow in the deck so that excessive clippings don't collect and get plastered to the top causing a fire hazard. I don't know how much truth there is to that in practice, but the other reviews saying the part isn't necessary and they are mowing without it should probably consider..Anyway, these are made of garbage metal drastically weaker than the actual deck. Between that and the fact that it protrudes slightly below the level of the bottom of the deck is a recipe for trouble if your yard has some troublesome roots and/or stumps.My YTA22V46 is not quite two years old, and I'm already on my third one of these. Horrendously designed. Some people on lawnmower forums have actually welded these to their decks and seen better success, but that sounds like a hassle and I'd rather replace it once a year than mess around with welding.3 stars because I mean it's the correct part and it fits, and is OEM as advertised. But they're still junk.

Part was delivered as promised & on time. Same thickness as original. I'm sure I hit a root or uneven ground to start to bend the original leaving gouge marks in the lawn. This is what I first noticed. I removed the deck and hammered the old one back into position. By doing so I weakened the steel where it bolts go into the deck. Another root above ground or running over a few more mole mounds bent it back under the deck now causing the blade to actually catch and hit it off completely. As a result I bent the blade and worse I could of damaged the spindle, belt or have this big piece of metal ejecting out from the side. So I recommend if you are leaving gouges in your lawn just remove this part continue cutting your lawn and order a new one. It was at my door step in 2 day. Even on a Sunday!. Freaking Amazon and its partners/venders are amazing. I dont know how they do it, but it's my goto store for everything. But I do have a prime account.

Perfect deck baffle replacement for my 2012 Husqvarna YTH22V46 riding mower. This is the second time I've replaced mine because I have a lot of tree stumps that I sometimes run over and this baffle is what gets bent, resulting in a very uneven cut until it's replaced. Mowing without it also results in an uneven cut because it functions to create uplift on the grass on the right side of the deck.

Arrived w scratches in the metal which isn’t a big deal as I figured as soon as I use it the same would occur. I Put this on my mower, easy to install as it’s only two bolts (not included, used original parts) and seemed to fit perfect, until I attempted to mow the lawn and engaged the blades and wham. Blade hit it creating a big ding in both the new OEM blade and the plate.

This replacement part was the same quality at the original one. It was the same gauge thickness as the original part which was what I was hoping for. It was an exact fit for my Craftsman 46 inch deck mover.

Good to go but after cuttin the lawn without this. I say no need for it. Never put the new part on.

Good price and fits perfectly on a Craftsman YT 3000. Just remember to keep your old hardware (nuts and bolts) as this doesn't come with it.

Lasted one year, then the bolting tab broke off.

This fit perfect for my 46 inch cut Husqvarna. Hope it last longer than the original
