Great chuck that won’t give you trouble!
Chuck is super smooth and finish is pretty good! Only problem is there’s a collar on the top for gripping and it’s only held by a set screw and can become canted. It doesn’t effect operation but does look bad when spinning.Runout measured at .002” with a dowel pin.A second set screw at 90 degrees to the first one in the collar would fix the cosmetic issue. Very pleased with the chuck though!

I liked it enough to give 5 stars and that says something
I couldn’t justify spending the money on this when seeing others that look similar for 1/5 the price, until I got it and now I’m glad I got it. I use it in my lathe tailstock and there isn’t enough tir to talk about so makes it nice. It does come with a spammer but I’ve never had a situation that I needed it. Oh and the larger grip to 5/8 is nice. Another thing it says 1/8 to 5/8 grip but I’ve chucked 3/32 and I’m almost positive 1/16 so it will grab small bits just fine. And the barrel spins very smooth smooth, not loose, not tight, just right.

Impressed w/Vertex Drill Chuck
I'm a CNC Mill hobbyist ... just getting started and learning a lot. I needed a BT30 drill-bit toolholder, so I decided to try this Vertex drill chuck. I haven't used it yet, but initial impression is that I'm impressed. The toolholder appears to be well-engineered, a sturdy device that would seem quite capable of holding upto a 1/2 drill bit. I'll update this review as I gain experience using the device.

Very good quality
Incredibly smooth and the run out is less than a thou. Comes with a spanner for those just in case moments. Every surface was fit and finished beautifully. Shocked to find this level of quality for this price.

solid
Picked up a used harbor freight 20 inch drill press. It came with an aftermarket 0-1/2 inch chuck. Got it home and found it was .005 out. Stock chuck is .001. Installed this one. .001 run out. Very happy with it. Seems very high quality.

Perfect chuck for me
I do production work requiring about 6 bit changes per piece with holes that require precision in relations to one another. The cheaper $35 Uxell keyless chuck I tried from Amazon first was nicely built but terrible at chucking anything smaller than an 1/8”, it would take 6 tries to get it straight. This chuck nailed it 6/6 times. Very well built, and $150 for this level of build is a good deal. I will buy more in the future as my shop has numerous drill presses dedicated to specific task so I can move faster.

Great piece of machinery. Smooth action, grips tight, almost 0 runout.
Excellent chuck. Very smooth, we'll built. Worth the money. Don't be tempted by the sub $50- $75 ones, you'll be happy you got this one.Hear me now and believe me later.

Good check for the price
Good check for the price. I use it on my Robodrill all the time. Handy to have. Balanced to at least 8000rpm

Precise and tightens around bit with almost no effort
Really good quality and no noticeable runout (I haven't measured it but I don't feel I need to).Highly recommended.
