It fits in a small nook where a conventional toaster used to be. I love that I can choose how long to toast bread. I like mine really crispy, so I leave it in for about 10 minutes. I do use tongs to reposition the bread part way through toasting because the heating element below is just a single bar--long enough, but not quite wide enough to toast the whole slice evenly. The top heating element is a bit wider than the bottom one.
