Q: Do all the fans blow cold air onto your laptop. Do they all spin in the same direction.- or does the central fan draw air away while the others blow

All in same way. However the usb connecting it to the laptop and the usb port in the cooling pad itself is reallt easy to damage even the slightest knock damaged it and is now pretty useless. If you want to avoid spending money wastelessly id buy a more pricey and robust one . Coolermaster produce good cooling pads
